- We have waited so long for this day that we were starting to wonder if it would ever come! But just in time for Thanksgiving it happened and we could absolutely cry! Just after seeing it for the first time we headed to East Tennessee to spend the holiday with Amanda's family and it was so special. We cooked maybe the greatest meal that has ever been enjoyed, and had the sweetest time together!

Because I have so much to be gratefull for...You two were like children in a candy store when you showed us the windows. I'm so glad for all off you.The parents are so sweet. Yes, there is Thanksgiving in Germany. It is called "Give thanks for the harvest"/Erntedank(fest) and it is always in October. 👍 It is a special Sunday of the churches. So please get your facts right before posting here, thank you.

Mt grandparents used to have a parakeet that they would let out of the cage. He would perch on my grandmother's shoulder and if she didn't pay attention to him or talk to him, he would pull on her earlobe. 😂

The parakeet reminded me of a childhood pet I had. She would come out of her cage and stay on my leg and watch television with me. Loved the light show. Christmas is my favorite time of the year.

Doing the turkey that way is called spatchcock. To spatchcock the turkey. You can also use a turkey bag and they turn out really juicy if you know all the tricks! I inject butter into mine! Real butter only!
