I think it kinda depends on the child. Reese is very independent and adventurous. Some of our others will probably stay home longer. We just wanna support our kids and see them thrive. ❤️

You are so right! Here in Athens Greece, ‘kids’ move out when they get married as well. They could be 20-28-30 years old , but they have a job and also pitch in at home.
I can’t even begin to explain how therapeutic your family is to me. Rough times or not, your family calms me down and I can’t help but smile whenever I see you all 💕
I moved in and out of my parents house until I was 23 and in my first “serious” relationship. But I’m also 1 of 7 so I ll take any time with my parents I can get :) Happy for Reese to have a supportive family that also believes in this model!
In other cultures, multi-generational home is very common, too. Most children stay with their parents until they are married and/or afford a house of their own. Some stay even when they have kids of their own, or the (grand)parents move into their grown children's home, so the 2nd generation can take care of their aging parents, and the grandparents can help/spend time with the grandchildren.
Hang in there guys. One of the tragic things I saw when working at a behavioral hospital with children was that many adoptive parents were given no background information on the kids. So at times they didn't have the info they needed to help the kids work through pass issues. It made it tough on some really good people. Children and adults. I have no idea. What your facing but I wish you the best. May God be with you.

Our youngest is 30. He recently divorced Abdul has a 4 year old. He had no choice but to move back in with us.
