As one of your fans, a developer on Marvel United, and a co-designer of the sequel X-Men United, I'm honored for this video, and don't have the slightest idea about why it escaped my radar for so long.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Ian Juelz Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hey SungWon, if you ever get the chance, it'd be awesome if I could hear your list of top deck building games! I really like the genre too and am looking for some recommendations
Did you go for X-Men United? I went all-in on everything. Really excited for plastic tokens and cardboard locations! Oh yeah, and I'm going to be drowning in chibi Marvel minis, lol.
I actually really dislike this game. For me, the biggest problems are that... 1) the play space is way too big. As you mentioned, the storyline function has way too much table space devoted to it, but beyond that, the actual "board" is needlessly girthy as well. I don't have a big kitchen table, so every time we go to play this game, it's a challenge just to squeeze everything into a semi-playable space. 2) It really annoys me how many loose pieces this game comes with, especially with how unnecessary most of them are as well. There is really no reason to have 15 copies of the individual "move" icons or "attack" icons. Even the health tokens for the various villains could have easily been done as a marking on the card with a little slider piece denoting the current health level. The civilian and henchmen tokens make sense to me, since collecting them is one of the main objectives of the game, but like 70% of the little cardboard pieces in this game seem totally unnecessary to me. I also hate how all of the "board" components are all loose as well. It is such a hassle to set up, and then playing on the space just means that cards and pieces are constantly being nudged crooked throughout gameplay (and my OCD means I have to set it right) and it's really annoying. 3) The game doesn't have enough difficlty variation. My friends and I played through all three villains multiple times and found them all to be very easy to beat. I agree that Taskmaster poses the biggest challenge, but even then, the game was over pretty quickly and didn't present much of a challenge. And considering how much of a pain it is to set up (because of the first two problems I cited), the fact that it is over so quickly is really frustrating. Because it's such a hassle to set up, it's not even like you can quickly reset to play multiple times to feel like you got enough mileage out of it before putting it all away. 4) I don't like how little text is used. The game uses a lot of symbols and pictures to cue certain events or functions within the game that are not exactly intuitive. So if you haven't played this game in a while, you'll have to re-read the rules before being able to dive back into the game because chances are, you're note going to remember what "curvy arrow pointing to target" means. It would be so much simpler to just print "activate this action when the villain lands in this space" somewhere on the card. I don't know why the game has such an aversion to concise, clear instruction present in the game (beyond the rule book). The art style of this game is really cute, and I thought the figures were cool, but those are pretty much the only things I liked about it.
I think you would really like the TMNT AUGS games "Change is Constant" and "City Fall" by IDW Games. They are currently finishing up production on another game in the same line that is based of Batman the Animated Series. You should really try Marvel Champions. It's a living card game that's played co-op. It's definitely on my top games list and is really fun solo or with a few friends. I would highly recommend it.
I almost backed this one on KS. Looked fun, but was curious just how well they could make the heroes feel different with only a few symbols. I grabbed it at Walmart, but haven't been able to play because SIP. Looking forward to trying this out along with the rest of my SIP stack lol
This game looks like a blast, but I do have one question. I never heard a number of players info, can this board game be played solo or do you need multiple people?

Backed this game on Kickstarter over a year ago, glad to hear it’s dope. Can’t wait to get my hands on it
I remember my 8th grade English teacher who ran a board game club signed up for this Kickstarter
My class just played Magic The Gathering for an hour.

I have this one and I must say I think it's more fun than Marvel Champions
Okay, we need a marvel superheroes/movies tier list or rankins video now 😅

the artstyle puts me off of this. Always hated that chibi style, and slapping it onto a semi-serious game is kind of an oof imo.
