Anyway, according to your review, there is no matching of a good song with a good vocal performance. I appreciate your honest opinion, but I'd like you to give your prediction for winners. You got me. I am very torn about the rankings - because some songs I love were performed in a lackluster way, and some that I hate were just amazing. I don't know what to base my rankings on - the song or the performance. It's a paradox I can't solve. Luckily (or unluckily), the actual ranking is not decided by me ;)
Semifinals are basically a popularity contest. Bad things go through, good things get dropped 😔 I do not agree with some of your positions about who was good or bad, but the review was interesting, regardless. Good points for most of them 👍

It is demonic and hard to watch for everyone who has their hearts and souls in the right place. You have to be mentally and spiritually really disturbed to like that shittt.
It always surprises me to hear how much different an opinion other people have when talking about/ranking Eurovision songs. My personal top 3 this year is Norway, Italy and Croatia atm. I ranked Serbia and Slovenia at #14 and #15 in their semifinal, and I think Europapa is an amazing song although it was not performed very well in the semifinal (the chorus fell flat in his performance).
You ranked Serbia and Portugal last? I can't believe anyone would do that. They're both extremely emotional songs, the kind that Eurovision was invented for... And Joost was not even trying. Luckily he's out now.
Slovenia not Portugal, I ranked Portugal #5 in its semifinal, I'm not really into ballads, though I did think San Marino and Estonia did worse in the live performance this year. And speaking of emotional songs, some people consider Europapa one of, if not the most emotional song this year. While I do agree Joost didn't do well in the chorus, I believe that the song in general was simply that good to still be able to do well in the final and hopefully make a better performance. His disqualification is devastating to me, and I wouldn't wish the situation on any of the contestants

After reading the little that was disclosed about the incident, I agree. As much as I hated the song, the way he got banned was EXTREMELY fishy.
Yeah...Sweden (Norway whatever) is so plasticky polished it seems made via AI - so the staging impeccably sanitized. That's the music you like...
