Been waiting for this to go up on GF for a while so happy to see you do a preview of the game. I do love dark themes so am drawn to it. How did you find the solo game? What did you like about it and did it capture your attention?
I'm so glad you checked out the video, James! The solo game was being worked on while I had my prototype copy so initially I wasn't thrilled with the solo game *but* the revised solo mode I got to try has you taking your turns as normal but each time Dante crosses a diploma space there are various requirements/objectives you need to have accomplished by then and if you don't meet them you lose an increasing amount of points. It's not an AI opponent (which is always my preference) but I like the way it makes you completely change your strategy and play style to accommodate these requirements! Two of the three solo challenges also introduce a change in the rules themselves which are fun to explore! (Plus there are different difficulty levels to try out, which I always appreciate!) ☺️ Thanks for such a great question! ありがとう!
@BoardGameDave My general feeling is that I'll probably pass on this one (backing fewer games these days) but will definitely check out the campaign. Thanks for your thorough response!
@@jamesmorgan1967 Yeah, stay tuned to the campaign! I don't know too much about what they have planned but I'm excited to see how they'll develop the game in the next several months! ☺ And I totally understand backing fewer games! (I've still only ever backed two games!) 🤣
I wonder if the plan is to keep the game as language-independent as possible? Like I said, there's a lot of thematic "flavor text" in the rulebook but you're right that it would be nice if it were included in the game itself! 🤔
I wasn't familiar with them when I first heard about Inferno but then I found out that they published Tindaya, which looks really good! Have you played that one? 🌋
Never before have I clicked so fast a notification in TH-cam
Haha, I appreciate that!! 🔥 Was it just the thumbnail or were you familiar with the game already?

They need to add text to the locations and guardians to link the theme to the game

Red Mojo is 🔥

@BoardGameDave yeah I own it. It's the best coop eurofame I have tried. I must admit it is very hard to learn, but oh hell its worth it.
@@lajeit Oh, interesting! I was checking out the BGG page and somehow didn't realize it was a coop game! I'd be very eager to try it out someday! ☺
