Chiara, you have the best personality for a successful TH-cam channel! Delightfully informative and I'm able to retain the tricks and tips you teach!
Thanks! Great, glad you like it!
I once saw a lady harpist is the orchestra for an ice show that was full of flashy glisses hold a pencil in her teeth and then grab it and use it to attack the strings when the big glisses came!! Lol - I have a particularly sweet sounding Venus Classic harp and I do a fair amount of glissing often over a melody - I get a lovely sound from right hand using the side of my index finger in the area of first knuckle for ascending - the other must for good glissing is having a meticulously regulated harp and spot on tuning to keep all the enharmonics smooth
Thank you for sharing your tips! The story about the harpist with the pencil in the teeth is just hilarious...I imagine though it would look terrible!!!😂😂
Love your videos! So funny, informative, motivating and useful. Thank you!
Thank you for watching, I'm glad you like them!😃
Your videos are hilarious -- and so helpful!!
Thank you!!
Haha I'm glad you enjoy them and you find them useful 😁
Kathy Bundock Moore suggested putting the picks on a big string to keep around your neck. I have a sturdy felt pick on one end and a solid guitar pick on the other end (for sur le table gloss effects).
Good suggestion, I've tried it but for me it was too stressful to find the plec, and the string annoyed me, I didn't find it comfortable at all😂. I put it on my stand, or, in emergency cases, in my mouth!
i love you! haha! 😍 thank you!
Nice! I also use the plectrums. But I sanded the sharp corners of them, so they are more or less rounded. In that way the sound is better and becomes more natural.
Love your videos ❤️
Brava, good idea! This soft ones are already quite good, but if I wanted a sharper sound I would definitely use a guitar plec, also there is different flexibility so we really can choose what's best!
I'm so happy I found your channel, you've got amazing tips! :) Looking forward to seeing more from you
Glad you enjoy it and you find it useful!
@@chiarapedrazzettiarpatelie6470 Yes! Thank you :)
Same! I just discovered you! Could you do a video on how to get gigs if you've been out of the loop for a few years - especially during COVID!
@@cheriegullerud281 Will do it in the next few weeks! Thanks for the suggestion!
Glissando pays my bills ;-)) ( ... in much cases.... LOL )
haha! Noted. :D
Do you like playing glissandos?
It's so beautiful the sound and it's a good way to grab the attention of the audience I'm playing for. I only have 2 little harps right now, one 15 string, one 22 string. I am saving up for my first Salvi which is my dream that will soon come true :).
@@gutsandgrittv5076 Well done!! Let me know what you get😍
@@gutsandgrittv5076 I bet it would still sound great on a small harp!
