Just played this with 2 friends (3 players), we were a bit worried reading the rules and watching this. But after playing the first level, we all felt it was very straightforward and easy for all of us to learn. It's basically a mix of the Conan board game and the d&d dungeon crawler board games but a lot easier and more flexible. Recommend it to new players of RPG board games or for kids.
What's bad is douchbags on Boardgamegeek were bashing this game months ago because it didn't have any "female leads for meh daughters to play" even though the base game is focused on the kids. Even after a dev posted the expansion would include the teens, they still bashed it as a stupid "pink tax". Worse they had the mod delete any posts calling them out our their garbage. There's no pleasing some people!!

I have the game and never played it as the instructions and manuals are so long and confusing. Now that I watched this video it sounds indeed complicated and cumbersome game to play... I'll just keep it as movie memorabilia in my Goonies collection... lol... Great video regardless!!!

Components look pretty low quality, but since this seems to be an US exclusive that is sold in a trashy store, I'm not surprised.
The minifigs are kinda cheap, but I paid $35 for way less.
