CREAMY Shrimp Pasta Recipe with Lemon Zest and Juice
Ingredients:
• Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
• Butter
• Garlic (minced)
• Onion (finely chopped)
• 1 cup heavy cream
• Zest of 1 lemon
• Juice of 1/2 lemon (or to taste)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
• Grated Parmesan cheese
• Pasta of your choice (cooked according to package instructions)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Shrimp 🍤
• Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
• In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
• Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
2. Sauté the Aromatics 🌿
• In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp of butter.
• Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Make the Creamy Sauce 🍲
• Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
• Stir in the lemon zest and add a pinch of salt and pepper.
4. Combine Pasta and Sauce 🍝
• Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
• Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
• Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon over the pasta and stir to incorporate. Taste and adjust the lemon juice as needed.
5. Serve and Enjoy! 🍽️
• Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
