She is gracious enough to allow us to take her home out for a drive once a year. Every summer we go the beach and stay at a RV park right on the water. It has a doggy beach on the bay that we really enjoy with our dogs. We meet new people at the RV park every summer, and everyone has been so nice and laidback. It’s refreshing. I gotta say my favorite thing is how dog friendly the park is. It’s a treat being able to swim, play or dine at the cafe with my dog. I really enjoy RV life. Great way to travel, vacation and live.
I had a 35 ft travel, trailer, that I pulled with my extended cab 4x4 Dodge, and I was probably 62 ft bumper to bumper, and it's definitely different, you have to remember u have 40 foot of trailer hooked up to the bumper of your 22-foot truck!!!! And it takes a football field to turn around!!!!
Just had to take a moment to say your videos bring me an indescribable type of joy. You always bring smiles to my face and lift my spirits up. Thank you Eva. Your work means a lot to me and I'm glad a person like you exists. Can't wait to keep up with many more of your adventures. I was curious about RV life and this video truly breaks it down.
I loved Johnathan Livingston Seagull! I was turned on to Richard Bach’s books as a kid but didn’t read JLS until just last year. I’ve loved all of his books but “One” really stuck out for me. Love your life and work! Thanks for sharing
I named my first Rv "The Leader of the Lost Parade" ...my favorite Rv tip: Dump a bag of ice and a box of salt into the toilet before driving to clean it out. The salt and ice scrub the reservoir then when you hook up and dump it, it's cleaner than it would have otherwise been. It's a good idea to do this before seasonal storage...also, It's FUN to be in the land of the FREE and the home of the BRAVE isn't it!?! Congratulations on all of your victories Eva!!! A special congratulations for keeping that big rig between the ditches! Well done!
In 1974 my dad took our family of 8 across the US in a 74 Dodge van and popup camper. We traveled for a month and made it to Colorado with a lot of stops along the way. We always stayed in KOA campgrounds as my dad bought a membership before our trip. Wonderful memories with my parents and my 5 siblings on that trip. He took us out again for 5 weeks in 1979 in a mobile home (RV) minus my two oldest brothers as they had jobs by that time. Got all the way to California that time and we brought one of my friends along with us. So many stories from those trips....my dad is awesome !
we made trip from south texas to four corners with the mercury station wagon pulling the rockwood pop up. stayed in koas campgrounds in a different place evry day was a blast
Hey Eva, just a tip for next time. You don't need the insurance on rentals if you use a Visa or MasterCard to pay for it. It's in the fine print of MC & Visa (and some other cards too) but it covers you automatically and for free for vehicle rental insurance. It doesn't just cover vehicle rentals either. You also get a warranty too. But check it out. I'm basing this on my 8 year experience in the credit card processing industry. I'm sure you can Google it to verify
As a bucket list you can certainly give a big tick on RV living, we can see that you really had a great experience 👊 but yeah living in odyssey gives you so many more accessible adventures. Driving the RV, you killed it girl👊
I'm so excited Eva is in Utah. A little more than a year ago I decided to be brave like Eva and move myself from Texas to Utah to pursue a more outdoorsy life style! I've really enjoyed living in Utah, so I'm really excited Eva is exploring my new state.
I love how you reinvent yourself or rather how you manage to stay loyal to your true inner self! I am learning courage and honesty from you! Chapeau! ❤
I am soooo glad you read Johnathan Livingston Seagull! Amazing story. By the date of the book's release, bookstores had only ordered 3,000 copies. The reviews were not positive. But once it was in stores the book began to fly off the shelves and there were several more printings. It remained on the best seller list for 37 weeks! You may also want to read The Bridge Across Forever also written by Richard Bach. Happy travels! Glad it's you driving that HUGE monster and not me!!! lol
@@ajadrew I HAD the original version all those years ago, but in my many moves it was one of the things that came up missing. I have Illlusions, Bridge Across Forever and One. Now that I saw Eva reading it, I am going to replace my JLS book. Yes, these also changed my perspective on life and was excited to see Eva found this book. I envy you your original. sigh
I actually read this in highschool my senior year in 1972. I liked the book but my take on it was a little different from some others in the class. Some people connected spiritually, some saw self reliance and positive thoughts. Me, it was all about flying. My grandfather had a little two seat airplane and would take me flying until he sold it when I was 10. I loved flying, being up high in the air looking down. That's what the book said to me. And yes, I became a pilot. Hmmm, maybe it did have to do with self reliance and positive thoughts. 🦅
With a properly maintained rv black tank and quality hoses/fittings, you will not have any nasty smells when dumping the tanks, except maybe a few seconds when the camp side connection is open while you connect/disconnect your hose
I’ve gone to Europe several times, often following the Tour de France. For the first years I camped along side the road with folks from around the world, it was awesome! In the past few years RVs have taken over. I’m surprised you say they don’t use RVs there as, at least along the Tour route in France, there is no longer room for tents as RVs fill all the spaces along the route. Literally thousands of them!
I live in Utah so I really enjoyed the video from my own backyard. I have a 36’ Fleetwood Bounder my kids nicknamed The Adventure Truck. Seriously Love the Channel Eva. 1💚 Ashton
my sister had a huge one for awhile. Lived in it while they built their vacation/weekend house in the arizona desert. They live in vegas so its a quick 2 hour drive away nice to have to get away and go riding
Eva, So glad I found your videos. I love to hear the European perspective to what I consider normal life. You are cute, fun and adorable. Your reactions are priceless. Can't wait to see more. Keep exploring the USA... so much diversity of culture, terrain and nature all within the borders of one country.
Great video! I live here in the US, and have seen these RVs on the road a million times, but have never seen the inside of one, let alone driven one. I felt like I just did!! 😀
Square out the turns. What that means is, don't make your turn as an "arc". Drive as far forward as you can then turn hard left/right for any 90deg turns. just be ware of your turning radius, so that you don't have to back up to clear curbs or whatnot. Works well if your're pulling a trailer also.
I've never told you this before, but I get the biggest kick out of you! You have a great sense of humor and you're so entertaining, Eva. I look forward to your videos. That RV was enormous! I giggled about your "three point turn" but you did way better than I would have. Mine would have been at least a 16 point turn. :) I hope you and that beautiful furry companion of yours are doing well. You're so fortunate to have a German Shepherd dog. They are great! Best regards always! I'll be watching! ~~carolynn
What a fun experience! I've always been intrigued with us big vehicles. Even the much smaller ones. They are an indulgence for sure! They're also quite expensive to operate as you experienced😮 what a fun video!
I just found your youtube videos last week. You are very good at filming and explaining your adventures. I live in Northern Utah and I was happy to see that you just spent some time here in Utah. I hope everyone treated you well here. Looking forward to more of your videos.
A long time ago I crossed the USA on an old BMW motorcycle with a yoga mat and a blanket for sleeping gear. I never tried a full size motor home and, given your experience, never will. Now, providing my health improves, I will travel in a Hybrid SUV and stay in motels. It is annoying to have to realize what you could do at 23 is not possible at 77. Next trip is to Newfoundland, Canada this Fall. It will be different because my wife and companion died 2 years ago so I will most likely be traveling alone. That will be different. Again I want to thank you for sharing your life. Take care and stay well. Love, GregW
I drive buses and trucks and I was impressed with how you drove the RV , turning it around to get out of the place and your reverse parking in the car park was pretty good, better than most. When taking corners go slow and lane share and you’ll get around the corner no problem.
I couldn't agree more Eva. I've travelled extensively throughout the US since 1972, both for my job and hols, specifically the four corners area, they are everywhere. As you say, there are so many limitations as to where you can go. I prefer your style of travel. Loved going into the wilder placed to see real nature. Oldtimer Englishman from Shropshire reliving my past trips with you.
Well, that was fun! You bring such joy into your experiences. From a long-time truck driver, Purple Power is the best for getting diesel out of your clothes. 😉 Keep on truckin Eva!
As a guy who tent camps in campgrounds en route to destinations, I always wondered what those huge RVs are like inside. So, thanks for the tour! Also, like you, we like to walk around and chuckle at how the RVs are named. . . Isn't Utah great? Looking forward to the next vid.
I lived in an Rv for about 8 years. At the time I was a Journeyman Electrician and worked nation wide. So I'd go to a job in California for a year then a Job in Kansas or wherever. It was way easier than finding a new apartment in a new city every 8-24 months and way more comfortable than always staying in a hotel. But I've been to 45 states and lived in 18. And I always pulled my truck which has a tapui tent on the roof and if i wanted to get out there for a weekend or whatever I could.
Yay Utah! I grew up there & am at this very minute in Utah by a lake. We were in northern Wyoming for June and will head to the Olympic Peninsula in July. We moved into full-time RV life 3 years ago and it's been wonderful! Ours is half the size of that monster your driving (& cost under $50k); travel days ARE exhausting. The bigger the rig the more exhausting. RV life definitely tends to cost more per month but not by much, mostly because everything is bought in small packages, which cost more than bulk. Add in gas, repairs, gas, RV parks, gas, laundromats, etc. Happy Trails Ava! Follow your heart and navigate with your brain and your feet will find you home.
Be careful Eva especially when it's windy. Now find a nice piece of land and now you have a Rv home still have your truck for other adventures .wow it would be so cool. glad you like the U.S.A ❤😊
Long ago when I first began my airline career with Continental Airlines, I was a ground handler. One of my jobs was lav service. Nobody liked doing it. The biggest fear was the discharge hose coming loose. With aircraft, the attach point is always above you so if the hose disconnects, you're screwed! There were a few rampers who got spilled on but I, fortunately, did not. I always made sure the coupler was securely attached and when I pulled the lever, I jumped away from the Smurf truck. We called it the Smurf Truck due to the blue toilet fluid. What was really awful was servicing the truck when taken to the grinder. When you're ready to dump, you take a deep breath and hold it at the same time you pull the dump lever and then you RUN LIKE HELL outside! That is the worst part of ground handling. I had a good laugh when your discharge hose kept disconnecting. Glad to see you like the USA. If you ever come east, give me a call and I'll take you for a boat ride. Don't expect a 40 foot yacht. I'm not from the Wolves of Wall Street.
I once heard of a couple from Spain who had a conversation about their future plans and decided that when they reach a certain age, they want to spend their time traveling rather than staying at home. It's inspiring to see individuals who prioritize exploration and adventure in their lives.
Adventures across the pond! Wishing you endless joy and unforgettable memories as you embark on your American RV journey. Safe travels and may each day be filled with excitement and discovery!
Hose work was my wifes favorite, to pass on. When her and girls would go, they were able to experience all the joy of driving the bus, and cleaning it out! Ditched the bus during Covid. Will see what kind of deals will become available as the recession transitions to depression. Maybe I can get a super C for smoking deal next year or 2.
Full time RVers are generally the nicest people as a group I've ever encountered in my travels. My first encounter was as a teen when the mountain passes closed ahead and behind us, and the RVers invited all us car people into their homes to stay warm through the night until the plows could get through. We had dinner, played cards, and told stories. In the morning, one of the RVs couldn't close its slideout and the entire group worked together to figure it out and get everyone on their way. 20 years later, I had a clutch go out while working a traveling job in my own car far from home, and an RV pulled over on the highway with me and offered to tow my car and ride with them the 500 MILES back to Oregon, simply because "Oregon sounds nice, lets go see it". It's seriously just like all overlanders who decided to drive a house instead.
I have been watching your videos for awhile now becasue you seem liike a real person who loves America. Its a great place here and we are glad to have a great person like you who loves nature and takes care of our great wilderness here in the USA thanks!
OMG. I remember going through driving training to become a professional driver 20 yrs ago. You are so bold. Keep right, and remember that slower is better everyone will go around you. Be safe
Smiled the whole time Eva,, Was glad to see you out having fun, and I guess more importantly, making new memories that one day you will quietly sit and fondly remember. As always dear sister, count your blessings daily - enjoy the freedom of life - never let the gravity of this world pull you down..... Stay safe and listen to your little voice, it's that quiet whisper that draws you in to deliver time tested wisdom. Danny in Texas.
I like trailer units. That way, I maintain my already known skills of using goose necks and bumper pull. Plus, I can unlock. Drive to locations like grocery store. I do state parks!
As a Utah native that recently moved abroad and was always inspired by cool travel vlogs, it's FASCINATING to see your perspective on lil Ol' Utah. Especially because you focus on completely different parts than most people. I knew it was Utah before you even said anything 😂. Hope you enjoyed your time in the Beehive State! 😊
Lol, right from the beginning, I'm from Vegas and went/ go as much as possible to UT. Usually in the mountain by Filmore. I love to take my motorcycle and go camping there (not in campground) UT is beautiful!!
Holy Moly! Jonathon Livingston Seagull! I read that over 50 years ago and it STILL has meaning to me. From what I know of Eva I think it will mean something to her also. Can't wait to see if she comments on it.
I had an uncle who did the RV lifestyle when he and his wife retired. They would make friends in other RVs, keep track of where they were going (and vice-versa) and meet up in different places all over the country. Their RV wasn't as big, but it had everything they needed. They traveled to every US state, including an extended trip to Alaska, and every mainland Canadian province. IDK if they ever went into Mexico, but since their "sticks-and-bricks" home was in Houston, that was a possibility.
As a kid my grandparents would take their 35footer early 70's era motor-home a lot of places. My grandpa could drive that thing anywhere it could conceivably fit. He'd back it up the driveway and into the backyard, the drive next to the house having a drop-off on the one side and a gas meter on the other, less than a foot to spare on that meter just to keep the wheels on the concrete on the other side. Mirrors only, no back-up cameras in that thing.

She's back on TH-cam! The craziest thing about this video is the fact that she's staying in the Beaver KOA where I have literally stayed myself when I was traveling Southern Utah National Parks.
Wow, you went for the biggest version of this kind of thing. I'm sure you know there are much smaller ones that would be more of what a single person would need. Guessing you went for this to demonstrate the complete opposite of what you had been doing? Have fun I love your content ❤
Eva I used to drive an 18 wheeler for a living a long time ago and I am used to driving large vehicles. It's a breeze once you get the hang of it and it's a perfect job for someone who is single with no children. It takes a special kind of person to drive an 18 wheeler here in the United States plus in order to drive an 18 wheeler here in the United States. You need a commercial drivers license and you have to be able to pass a DOT physical here in the United States and any trucking company gives all the training you need. Very well edited as well as the video.
Hello Eva, the RV is not you. It's nice to have all the conveniences but in the end it's being able to go places off the beaten path. That's your comfort zone. Love you Dearly ❤❤ Harriet and I continue to support you on Patreon. All the best, 🙏❤🙏 Jim, Harriet and Yuki Richmond, Va.
It takes a lot of courage to just jump into a 40' bus and start driving. I know. I did it too. I bought a 40' school bus to convert into an RV/Tiny home, and drove it 1000 miles from Arizona back home to Texas. Lots of sweaty palms and white knuckle driving. LOL! Well I hope you enjoy your time in the RV. Keep the videos coming!
Eva, I've been following you for years and you never fail to entertain and inform. I've lived in an 40 foot RV for 6 months stationary. Loved it. I've also traveled America a couple of times in one. It's definitely an American thing. Although Europe has its own class of RVing now. Once you get the sewage thing figured out, it doesn't have to be a stinky project. Well, not nearly as bad as you experienced it. You definitely want to wear gloves to protect yourself from getting any on you. I never experienced leakage like that. Keep up the great content.
My wife and I have a 40" Alpine Coach. It has an Aqua-hot water system that gives non-ending hot water for showers. We have being doing this for like 2 years. We have a Thousand Trails membership that only cost us $299 dollars per month. So we can stay every night without paying each night that includes water, Electric and sewer hoop ups . We love our motorhome its paid for but an older model like a 2007 with 3 slides. So gas and food is our biggest expense . We have been watching your videos for quite some time and would like to day. We hope you will make America your home. This place could use more people like you ! Have a safe trip maybe we will see you on the road someday. Jeff and Donna.

I gotta say my favorite thing is how dog friendly the park is. It’s a treat being able to swim, play or dine at the cafe with my dog. I really enjoy RV life. Great way to travel, vacation and live.
Ah that’s such a nice arrangement. And yes it’s gotta be said, everyone I’ve met at RV parks has been super nice!
I scrolled down to see if somebody mentioned it. Such a great book.
So glad you had an RV experience. Looking forward to your next adventure.
Eva, good to have you back again, love watching your videos!
Glad to see you've been able to make a friend while traveling!
Happy to see you back on TH-cam but even better that you are in Utah. I live in Utah and love it here, I hope you enjoy your time here if still here.
Well done!
You are so fun to watch. You make all of your experiences really fun to see. Keep up the good work.
Great video
Love the light heartedness and humor. Sewer pipe popping out both ends…priceless
Eva always puts a smile on my face 😊

My Grandparents had several RVs like that. They traveled a lot after they retired. I was always amazed they never got in an accident.
Other than semi trucks everyone else gets the hell out of the way instinctively when they see an RV.
Glad to see you back, you look like you are having fun.
I love how you reinvent yourself or rather how you manage to stay loyal to your true inner self! I am learning courage and honesty from you! Chapeau! ❤
You Go Girl. I ' ll be waiting for your next adventure.
Glad it's you driving that HUGE monster and not me!!! lol
I have the original version + Illusions + Bridge.... - changed my whole perspective on life all those many years ago!
I envy you your original. sigh
A book from 1970, when people still valued freedom over security. How things have changed.
@@caulkins69 I still & only live the freedom - I have zero interest in security or any of it's other manisfestations 👍☺
I think she meant ones as long
Love your confidence and can do attitude.
I live in Utah so I really enjoyed the video from my own backyard. I have a 36’ Fleetwood Bounder my kids nicknamed The Adventure Truck. Seriously Love the Channel Eva.

Oh nice! Love Utah!
my sister had a huge one for awhile.
Nice to see you back, I am glad you didn’t take a long hiatus
I hope you and that beautiful furry companion of yours are doing well. You're so fortunate to have a German Shepherd dog. They are great!
Best regards always! I'll be watching! ~~carolynn
Age is a big factor teens, tent! Older with kids pop-up or mid sized tow behind, older empty nester your looking for comfort and ease of setup!
Love, GregW
That trail you ran looked fun. Ive jogged a few in Utah. Maybe the Bare Gutsman one day.
So fun to watch you have this very different and uniquely American camping experience 😊👍
@@urbanskiboguslabsrecording7531 Thankfully not in my lifetime! 😂
I can. These are ridiculous.
Good to have you back
Well, that was fun! You bring such joy into your experiences.
From a long-time truck driver, Purple Power is the best for getting diesel out of your clothes. 😉
Keep on truckin Eva!
Awesome video Eva , thx for sharing & luv your passion for traveling. Be safe & well on your journeys.
👍⚾️😘
As a guy who tent camps in campgrounds en route to destinations, I always wondered what those huge RVs are like inside. So, thanks for the tour! Also, like you, we like to walk around and chuckle at how the RVs are named. . . Isn't Utah great? Looking forward to the next vid.
Mine has a pool table and spa
It’s good to have you back, it’s part of my Sunday morning routine to watch your travels
I get so excited to watch your videos!!! Love your videos ❤❤❤
Thank you :)
That was sweet!!!
You are so daring and independent. You are an inspiration.
Be safe
WOW.. You really moved to the USA, i am so jelous, i would have done the same thing. Enjoy life Eva 👍👍👍
Haven't heard about the book she was quoting Johnathon Livingston Seagull since I was a kid in the 70s. It was also made into a movie.
Hi! I’m from Houston :)… well Crosby really but it’s only about 30 min out of Downtown. Sending love and light friend ❤
I just found your channel. You are amazing. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
They should totally put backing up cameras on the rear of the RV!
They did have a camera but it was kinda warped and I couldn't really tell the distances ;)
All of the new stuff does.
@@evazubeck yea, but if you are going to hit something, it beeps to let you know, or it should 😁 ETA: I'm wondering where you gorgeous furry friend is whilst you are staying in this?

I was so confused for a second, because I was like “Those look like my mountains!” AND THEY WERE! Hope you enjoyed southern Utah Eva! You are in my hometown of cedar city at the beginning of the video. I hope you work your way back with your 4x4 and explore all the fantastic nooks and crannies of the Utah mountains. Cheers! Happy travels.

You mean a big Arctic Fox RV?

Nice van life. Well documented. Tnx4sharing. Fully watched 👍
Yeah, I thought, if I'm gonna experiment with RV life, why not go for the biggest one out there :P

Love you Dearly ❤❤
Harriet and I continue to support you on Patreon. All the best, 🙏❤🙏 Jim, Harriet and Yuki Richmond, Va.
We tossed up between an RV and a campervan, and the campervan won for that reason. But it's really cool Eva is trying new things.

I really enjoyed hearing your perspective about RV-ing in America. It helps me appreciate other points of view.
Omg Eva is so brave ❤ I can’t do that looks so difficult and she just made it ❤ Positive vibes to everybody here ❤
Great video Eva. Love your energy and zest for life.
I've grown up camping in campgrounds surrounded by these giant RVs. I'm not quite sure how I'd feel about driving or living in one! But to each their own 😆
haha I definitely felt like a liability!
you actually did what I always wanted to do, thanks for giving us a tour. I really enjoy your channel. its gives me comfort in a stressful world
I had to drive a huge 18 wheeled moving truck once decades ago, fully packed, for ~16 hours. No autopilot. Through massive hills toward the end. It was a NIGHTMARE.
