- NANCY SINATRA on Sunday Profile, in an interview she gave in 2006. Nancy talks about her 2004 album "Nancy Sinatra" and part of her tour.
Nancy recalls part of her career in the 60's, her relationship with Lee Haazlewood, her men, her music, her family and more.
"singer(?)" jessica simpson made an awful cover of Nancy's hit "These boots are made for walkin'", this the worst part of this video, I give apologies to Nancy and to everybody for this piece od garbage.
Nancy Sinatra . . . the real american sex kitten ¡¡¡
I love this woman!! I met her when I worked at "Borders"....she was scheduled to do a book signing and I begged my boss to let me be in charge of it ..I decorated the table with lots of flowers and copies of all her albums ( all of which I owned)..over the load speakers we played nancy and Frank songs...when she showed up I was a nervous wreck..I introduced myself to her and she gave me the biggest hug and said how great the book signing table looked..we spent the next few hours talking while she signed autographs...afterward she signed everyone of her albums I had.. plus an autographed picture which I still have framed on my wall. She was by far the sweetest and the most fun celebrity I have ever met. hope she continues making music...I am a fan for life...put this icon in the rock and roll hall of fame...thanks for such a wonderful day Nancy!!!!
You are extremely lucky to have met this lovely lady in person. Nancy always seems to be a nice person so not surprised by your comments. My Dad always did a great rendition of My Way and was a great fan of Frank as we all were!
Nancy Sinatra=CLASS!
Nancy's great. I spoke to her momentarily once as she was signing a T-Shirt for me after one of her concerts in Lake Tahoe in 1994. I think she really cares about her fans. I think Frank Sr. did too, and I get the feeling that if Frank were still around, the two of them together were the kind of class act that would welcome you into their hearts and treat you like one of the family if all you did was show them that you have a good heart, are trustworthy and caring, and willing to treat them the same way that they're treating you.
A lot of people agree that respect is something that must be earned--and I agree with that myself, but there are also those who are wise (and fearless) enough to realize that it's okay to give people a certain level of respect right from the get-go, and then see what they do with it. The respect that's being given then becomes yours to either lose--or build upon, if you demonstrate through your actions that you are deserving enough. The Sinatra's strike me as people who understood this, and are/were wise in that way......I think they enjoy(ed) being "real people" (just like any average Joe or Jane), and wanted to have that aspect of everyday life in their lives, to balance out all the fame and fortune, and everything that goes along with it. Those things are nice, but at the end of the day, we all want to have ties to being "normal", and not lose that part of ourselves, if you follow what I'm saying there.
(Wish I still had that T-Shirt, but I wore it till it had holes in it.
Nancy, where are you? I need another one!)
The first time I saw a picture of Nancy Sinatra she was in her twenties. The picture totally took my breath away. Absolutely beautiful.
SHE WAS/IS! GOTTA LOVE NANCY!
The Boots song epitomized the 60s sound and look ...the miniskirts and long straightened hair and girl power... she is a great singer and had amazing hits she gave girls in the 60s a feeling of carefree sexy freedom...and the Bond song was so good! Love her songs with Lee.
I'll say it again, one of the most beautiful women in the world ever and so talented 👏
A TREASURE!
I fell "in LOVE" with Nancy Sinatra in 1968! I HAVE NEVE FALLEN "out-of-love" with THIS GREATLY TALENTED, SEXY, GREAT WOMAN!
I love Nancy...she's great. Such a pure voice and so many great songs. I love how Frank was even supportive of her Playboy photo shoot! No wonder Nancy misses him...and yet she has no illusions about her Dad, and that makes their relationship even better because they were so close as father and daughter. I think Frank was so proud of Nancy, it's so lovely.
I LOVED NANCY! ALWAYS WILL!
Meet her in Vietnam and I am still hooked !!!!! Love every move she makes
That’s so cool! What was she like?
She's still gorgeous at 65 yrs old. I've always loved her and her music.
Douglas Raddi
She had a lot of plastic surgery and look at her top lip; it's rigid!
@@redblade8160 Most of female celebrities do more worse then this
@@Pancakesxme
I know that other celebrities look far worse after cosmetic surgery, but that doesn't excuse her!
There u go...
I was a member of Nancy's forum for 10 years
and met her backstage at the Royal festival hall in London.
She tries hard, just like her Dad did.
Good luck Nancy.
xxx
I believe Nancy Sinatra IS CLASS! TALENT/BEAUTY/SEXINESS/EVERYTHING! My FIRST "CRUSH" NEVER DISAPPOINTED ME!
"and then I got married like an idiot." I love her sense of humor.
I'm a long-time fan but had forgotten she was married to Tommy Sands who was a Frankie Avalon type popular in he 60s.
AHhhhh... poor Tommy Sands.... never to be taken seriously
Michael Maloney Yes... I thought for several seconds about that and always wondered why...(one second per why)....Tommy had potential.
But I could have sworn she was married to another actor ... Tony Franciosa ? I remember she was having problems with him where he was acting crazy and stalking her ... does anybody else remember that
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
forever beautiful. Angels voice.
Best of her songs: "SUMMER WINE"!
And some velvet morning both great songs
The 60's girls were the best!
She's 73 now - I haven't heard about her in 5 years. She was great in the 60's.
Una cantante de hermosa voz como su padre . Linda Nancy Sinatra !
Most honest and natural woman singer ever. I love Frankies music too. Thank you for this videoclip.
65 wow, she looks great.
Wow...I miss the essence of him. How sweet is that!!!
This was great!!! Thanks for this!!! =)
1:01 and the famous father who could pull strings. I’m not taking away from her talent and beauty but that must’ve helped a hell of a lot! 2:18 Nancy acknowledges this
This is so cool. I was at the Joe's Pup gig. I sat with Nancy's daughter A.J. and her husband during the gig and then met her after in her dressing room where we hung out with her. All thanks to Jon Spencer. What an incredible woman and class act. Rock on Nancy!
Skeeter NYC jugtitiigoitwt
She seems so genuine.
They don't make 'em like her any more. She was the cutest, most appealing woman of the 60's. Raquel was a different kind of appeal...but Nancy cornered the market on what she was bringing to audiences and fans.
Her voice is actually much stronger than it seemed in her early records.
She admitted that she toned it WAY down and that she actually had a strong voice like her father.
I do not think that the 1995 Playboy appearance was just a cheap publicity stunt at all! Just seen those pictures after all these years for the first time and... Damn! They're awesome!
I love Nancy& Frank's music ❤
I love her so much so beautiful to me and so so so sweet too god bless you Nancy I love you stay gold baby stay pure gold peace and much much much love to you love Andrew.
Beautiful and talented lady. So charismatic. Hot stuff!
There is some very bad language in some of the comments on this site. This is completely unnecessary.People should state their opinion without being abusive.
She was 65 here? How gorgeous!
Nancy's fantastic. sadly, the interviewer is the usual condescending clueless annoying-voice soccer-mommy.
Good call...I just pointed that out too!
the interviewer is brilliant
Nancy rocks. I thought she was fluff at the time, but now, I think that babe rocks.
Would lille to see her make a comeback.
Namaste and care,
mhikl
The photos taken of her wedding to Tommy Sands show a couple very much in love. Tommy Sands always seemed like a very humble, gracious young man. I’m sorry that she didn’t have anything nice to say about their relationship.
Nancy really ( I'm a fan, this is just a guess ) never says anything bad about Tommy Sands - I think she and Sands agreed that they were very very young at the time of their marriage. Marriage isn't easy and many couples don't make it all the way through - plus Tommy was on the road a lot I assume and maybe he had a wandering eye, I don't know ~
Tommy got rid of Nancy.
TINA SINATRA was total babe and much better looking then sister Nancy and never really got a fair shot at stardom!
No way does she look 65 here, well done to the cosmetic surgeons..good job!
+Clive Bindley - Re your reply about my comment about bad language. - You have just proved my point. That sort of response only shows a lack of education and an inability to express an opinion without swearing and abusing someone who happens to hold a different opinion to your own.-- Prove my point once more if you like by responding to this comment in an abusive way, or perhaps you could just say sorry.
+TREVOR MCGAUGHRAN
I have no idea what you're talking about, I was just referring to the fact she looks too young to be 65, so she's had surgery.
If you don't like that..lump it.
Is that too abusive for you?
+Clive Bindley I was referring to a previous comment attributed to your name and sent to me, which appears to have been removed.
+TREVOR MCGAUGHRAN
Not guilty M'lud, if I post a comment it stays posted.
+Clive Bindley Guilty as sin. It was a very rude comment that you +1ed to me. I have just re-seen it in my notifications.
I love you Nancy! You are such a beautiful lady, with a beautiful voice, and very sexy, I might add. And you are still beautiful in every way, today. You are a class act, through and through.
65? She looks 45 at the most!!
@Craig ... easy..... with BOTOX .... (-:
….it's weird how American music can become cult classics in other countries…sort of as "camp", or 'irony'…..I remember in 1997 driving through Norway, and hearing "Sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sugar shack!!" Hearing that in-between Fjords,….wavering in and out of the midnight sun!!(for some reason Nancy Sinatra was hot there at that time), Nostalgia is all over the world, and totally weird and distorted!
I wore my go-go boots to kindergarten when that song came out, and I was sent to the principals office for being dressed "inappropriately". That began my life-long fascination with screwing the system…"these boots are still walking………(great song!!)
Love Nancy Sinatra, she sure took her fair share of shit kicking by the idiotic media. She is one person who has made the most of her talent, and has succeeded all the while maintaining her sanity.
One of my first "crush's" as a kid. Watch the video for Sugartown, and you;ll see why.
Hermosa Nancy. Me gustas un montón.
She was definitely hot.
now 11 years later 2017 going on 76 ...whats she doing? The Stones are still rocking.....
LuV Nancy Sinatra--Class Act ALL the Way...!!!!
She sounds fantastic!
Yeah I had the honour to work with Nancy on ,"China Beach in the 80's. She is still so fine.......GOOD GOD YA"LL!
when they called Nancy an icon, they said it all.
siempre sera una belleza de mujer.
I think she's actually gotten more attractive with age. I never thought she was all that pretty when she was young. I also never quite understood why she became such a star. I guess having that famous last name helped a lot.
+taxi1729 She's a great singer and performer. Didn't hurt having Frank as a father, but she was talented and charismatic enough to stand on her own.
+Allen M. Quinn -- Exactly. Having the right connections can help get you a break in the music industry, but it won't keep you there. Nancy had many hits, people (myself included) didn't go out and buy her records because of her famous father, they bought them because they were good and were sung by a talented artist.
+taxi1729 She wasn't good looking growing up that is for sure. She said I got married that was stupid of me. She seems to forget that her husband Tommy Sands was a huge idol at the time. That was the only song that brought her fame. The plastic surgery, wigs, clothes helped her a lot. When Frank Sinatra was showing picture of his kids he referred to his first daughter Tina, as his first, then his son, then my lovely daughter Nancy. You could tell she was the favourite one. When her father passed she said the music stops now. A few years later she was promoting her father's album. Love money that much Nancy. Tina was the one with the looks in the family. Nancy was a mouse.
Chloe Wilson. ..you're entitled to your opinion as I am to mine, and I completely disagree with you.
+taxi1729 of course everyone has their own opinion. I think she looked like a Goddess. beautiful face, maybe not her natural hair color, but who cares.. she looked great. and UNLIKE Hanoi Jane Fonda , who was entertaining the North Vietnamese at the time, Nancy was supporting our troops. I'll stick by Nancy any day
Nancy lived and breathed sex appeal in those younger years. I always enjoyed her music as well as her Fathers. It's no surprise she would experience difficulties getting back into the industry in her later years. It was just a different era & genre of music. Elvis experienced the same thing as do most teen idols.
Nancy Sinatra ALWAYS HAD TALENT! SHE ALSO HAD CLASS!
They tried to make Jessica Simpson into something she isn't.
forever beautiful woman
Love you Nancy!
Ava Gardner by
Women from the 60's were freaking hot!! I love that look. They had such beautiful skin too.
Sugar Town!
Lovely ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for those boots. :)
Ohh this iconic woman
I have a screenplay written about Frank Sinatra which includes Nancy and also Elvis Presley. Elvis Presley Enterprises has read it, but I can't get the script to Nancy Sinatra.
De q ano sera essa entrevista? A loira ainda esta linda para quem foi uma estrela dos anos 60.
A entrevista foi de 2006, ela esta com 65 ou 66 anos nessa filmagem
I love you very very
...very very what
nice woman, nice lady
Frank had the most beautiful voice.
Я не поэт но я скажу словами поэта Пушкина "за морем царевна есть - не возможно глаз отвесть" Многая лета!
NO ONE could sing a song like frank Sinatra....sadly none of his kids can sing a lick..but that is not unusual...there has NEVER BEEN A SINGLE CASE WHERE A CHILD SANG BETTER THAN THEIR PARENT......Who was a great singer.....
2006, son 10 años más, como estará ahora?
🌟✨🌹❤😍
Very .beautiful
That is so sad her 2nd husband died from cancer.
still HOT in her 60's
Tina also was HOT and a total babe.SHOOOOOoooooo a ring a ding ding
Well a great bunch of powder and a couple of lift, here and there, will do the work.
Women from the 60s were super hot
wow she doesn't look 65 she looks younger. love that voice
This interviewer is horrible. Actually, most of them are, especially if they are from the major networks. They always make themselves more important than the subject. And, they are always ambushing the subject with very intrusive questions.
Nancy Sinatra is a class act. She handled this dumb interviewer very graciously. Obviously, it takes great skill to interview someone who is of Nancy's caliber.
Yes, those interviewers ask a question and then preempt a guest's with what they (the interviewers) want to hear. Among the examples here is with reference to "These Boots Are made For Walking). The interviewer asks Nancy how she feels about the song and then immediately says, "It must have been a love-hate relationship" (presumably because fans wanted ot hear it all the time). Nancy was gracious and responded in a way that the interviewer didn't want. She didn't take the bait. Brava!
Catherine Albrecht you don't know shit, your a loser!
This is a Sunday Morning segment, NOT strictly an interview. It's painting a picture, giving backstory, as well as updates. It's got to be relaxed and "homey", and the folks at SM are the best.
You are an idiot.
Her mother is 99 years old
I don't like her lips, whatever she did it makes her look ugly.
lovely story
i have done franks songs in karaoke and people now beg me to sing his songs and i do and have done a few weddings with it like summer wind
+george bobik the summer wind came blowing in from across the bay, It lingered there to touch your hair, and on it goes , nice song at a wedding ,I'm sure you had the older women after you if you did the song any justice , lol
Are you ready boots ? ... Start walkin.
awesome
Nancy will always rule.
be aware of the noises starting at 9 minutes.
its all right ...... I love them.......ok
She still a extremely pretty women way better looking then both parents which where good looking people she could sing .she could act although she thought she couldn't she pulled it off.looked like elvis enjoyed that kiss. She nice built she right about that song like that record. Song with her dad was great great.shes don't need to do anything to attract a man she can just sit there.
one other thing..frank sinatra was not living with his first wife and the kids when they were old enough to know better..he was with ava..or who knows...but he did go home to them many nights as his first wife was the only place he turned to when he was down...the point is...he was not a strict dad cause he just was not there and when he was..he did indeed treat the girls very very well..little frank jr..however...was totally over looked....a very sad affair that everyone who witnessed it,,,,would agree
Her and lee Hazelwood were great together
Some songs are not meant to be covered by other artist. "These boots are made for walking" is one of them. I hate when female pop artist's want to get attention by covering a 60's song and tarnishing it with mounds of shit.
@Theshark15z,
I agree. They should stand on their own. I first heard Jessica Simpson's version of the song and it's awful. She took a famous song and gave it a countryfied twist which tarnished it. I call Jessica Simpson's version the "slut version". I'd prefer to stick with the original, which is the absolute best. Again, I agree with your view. In addition, some song remakes can be good or bad, depending on who covers them, while some others shouldn't be covered years later by other artists.
-Matt
Just do like a kiss farewell concert 🍭💋
But what did she do to her lips? They look numb and much different than her earlier years.
She loved Elvis, but who wouldn't.
Like Daffy Duck 🦆 😂
I loved her songs.... but...I had a hard time focusing on this interview because of her 'botox' lips... very distracting.
+inaday avisday Don't know why she did that - someone must have given her bad advice. Still love her singing though.
Loved her Playboy
I love the response her dad gave about it: She didn't receive enough money and should've gotten at least double the amount paid to her.
Any idea why the Jane Fonda version has been eradicated from the internet?
Letem Dangle
M sorry but I just hate it when these people try to revive a 40 year led career. What's the point?
Great
She sounds awful...people just do not know when to quit.
This interviewer is a fan of saying what Nancy just said in a dramatic way and making her repeat it.
Was this song made for Tommy Sands ? Her Father destroyed his career.
No, Lee Hazlewood wrote this song, I believe for Nancy.
really ? he would destroy Mr. sands career ? do tell ...
My favorite and only song I liked, that Nancy Sinatra sang was: (These Boots Are Made For Walking.)
I wish that they ask her about Bobby Fuller.
