Turbo is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Vysakh, written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced by Mammootty under the banner of Mammootty Kampany.[2][3] The film features Mammootty, Raj B Shetty, Sunil as lead characters.[4][5] The music and background score was composed by Christo Xavier, while Vishnu Sarma and Shameer Muhammed handled the cinematography and editing.[6]

Not really. You should check out the other recent movies from the actor. Rorschach, a psychological thriller, Nanpakal, a comedy drama, Kathal, a drama, Kannur Squad, an investigation thriller and Bramayugam, a folk horror.
This is the only "formula" cinema that the actor has done since 2022.

First comment of this post! I recalled seeing an episode of the late Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations in Southern India and Anthony expressed his admiration for Mammootty, even playing one of his movies on a private river ship while munching on some Keralan dishes with a fellow chef.
I checked on info on Turbo and recalled that parts of India had Portuguese and Spanish influences due to colonization of Indian areas and trade with colonies of both former powers, hence Jose and other Spanish/Portuguese names were given to predominantly Indian Christians.
Did I mentioned that Mammootty's in his early 70s? Impressive feat to stay this fit and still doing movies.

The storyline seems pretty typical. The hero who is a bit of a troublemaker has to go away to another city after some trouble at home and then get entangled again with another problem in the new city. Key is going to be what is new in terms action, story, execution etc. Ofcourse its good to see Mammooty in another "Mass" movie. The Indu is a female name and the phone had many Indus thus they wondering who the current setup is😜
