I made some notes, so I could remember what he spoke about. Maybe this could be helpful for somebody else.
10 ways to cultivate resiliency for when you encounter stress.
1. Make connections. Friends, family, groups. Social support.
2. Avoid seeing a crisis as being an insurmountable problem. This too shall pass. Wisdom of being older.
3. Accept that change is a part of living.
4. Move towards your goals.
5. Take decisive actions. Don’t just wish the problem go away.
6. Look for opportunities for self-discovery.
7. Nurture a positive view of yourself. Trust your instincts.
8. Keep things in perspective. Broader context. Long-term view.
9. Maintain a hopeful/positive outlook. Choose your perspective. Suffering can cause growth.
10. Take care of yourself, needs, and feelings. Walking can help your body and mind.
Maybe diffuse a situation with laughter or a different way of looking at it.
