    Pretty Little Liars had a few plot twists and storylines that were absolutely ridiculous and forced.
    Including but not limited to... Big A was Alisons transgendered brother who we literally never heard about until the six episodes leading up to the reveal. Alison being alive. Mona being alive. Literally anything having to do with Sarah Harvey/ black veil or red coat. Alison and Emily ending up as a couple. Spencer being adopted and being Alisons cousin from Alisons moms secret twin. Wren being Alison and Emily’s sperm donor...
    And the worst one being Spencer having an identical twin and she ends up being Uber A. Literally laughable how bad that was, and I had stopped watching for years up until that episode. I checked it out to see what the big reveal was, and sure enough, I had no regrets about ending when I did 😂

    For me in Game of Thrones was when Tyrion claimed Bran had the "best story" and was most fit for king, completely ignoring how Jon Snow came back from the dead, fought at several key battles, fought an undead dragon, helped unite the North, and ended Daenerys's conquest, and how everyone laughed at her subordinates like they were clearly in the wrong, something in direct contradiction to one of the show's longest standing themes of moral ambiguity, and how all the main characters were slapped together in the council, as if any of them were qualified to govern, nevermind whether they could actually work together. In short, the last 20 minutes of Game of Thrones, which, might I add, were not even in the final script. Game of Thrones literally ended with filler scenes...

      @TheRhetoricGamer 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I'm a software engineer and it's more plausible than you would think. The Area 51 lab and David had already overcome the biggest hurdle of being able to interface a Windows machine with the alien spacecraft's computer system. You could theoretically build a virtual machine of the alien OS in your laptop and build/test the virus in the controlled environment or just use the alien craft's system as a sandbox environment. You could do some blackbox testing to figure out how the ship's computer interacts with the mothership's systems in order to gain an understanding of the mothership's OS and spot potential vulnerabilities. What *really* stretches my belief is that David was able to do all of this in just a single all-nighter.

      Ok stop criticizing things. You're very bad at it. What's worse is this one is actually a problem with the story. But not because "the comics say they're both bad." But because this change makes it so Captain Marvel's arc is less interesting. She gose form thinking that the blue guys are good and the green guys are bad to the exact opposite. She changes what she thinks not how she thinks. And when you're doing a story about a person switching sides it's a lot more impactful if the old way of thinking was flawed in some way. Instead her way of thinking was fine it's just who she was thinking about was wrong.

      Rey aggres to join Kylo, because...well duh, he’s the only one left who trusts her (though she should hate him for killing Han - but that is ignored for smooches in Rise)
      Luke turns up on Crait, he, being THE grandmaster now, blocks all the blaster fire the same way Kylo did in TFA, steps forward and allows them to land behind him. Kylo faces him, Luke apologises, Kylo engages, Luke never fights aggressively and tries to turn Kylo back keeps explaining his actions. Kylo berates him etc. Eventually Kylo nearly has the upper hand but then Luke calmly disarms Kylo with clean cuts to his arms and legs (like Dooku did to Obi Wan). He then tells him they will meet again and he will be there to help him. Then he leaves, going back to his X wing still covered in some reeds.

    GOT had so many through the seasons that it isn't even funny:
    - The many many times that information went instantly from one place to another on the other side of the seven kingdoms.
    - Every time people teleported from one geographical location to another.
    - Sor Twenty from the house Goodmen and his sidekick Ramsay Bolton.
    - The death of Stannis' daughter made no sense considering how Stannis and his wife were portrayed, and it was made out of pure shock value because in the books she didn't go with Stannis to attack Winterfell.
    - Arya was stabed many times in her belly, when she was in Braavos, didn't die even though the knife was long enough to go through her chest. The bodyguard of Prince Doran on the other, even being two times taller than Arya and probably being five times as massive was stabed one time, by tiny blade in the back and died instantly.
    - The Sand Snakes killing the entire Martell Family for no good reason and taking control of Dorne also for no good reason.
    - Cersei inherits the Throne... why? She is not in the succession line for the Iron Throne, she is only in the succession line of the Westerlands. Also she killed half of the nobility from the Reach, Kings Landing, and probably of other kingdoms as well, plus the the leadership of their Church that was very popular with the common people.
    People say that the show was amazing up until season 6, but that is not true, show had an amazing first season, had good to very good 2nd, 3rd and 4th seasons, but 5th and 6th seasons were already full of BS.

    I want to say Miles Axlerod but his twist was well explained. I was more annoyed that Mater was able to figure out it was Axlerod with very little evidence beforehand. Sure he allegedly never leaks oil but that could change and they only mention it twice before the big reveal when Mater uses the oil leak as evidence against Axlerod. Axlerod also said in the pre-recorded announcement message for the lemon party in Italy that his clutch assembly broke but for those who don't understand that the clutch is part of the gearbox which needs oil, that is just an arbitrary piece of information. I only made that connection as I typed that. Axlerod wouldn't even have much of a motive because Allinol was regular gasoline, so even if the World Grand Prix wasn't sabotaged, they could have simply sold loads of Allinol until they found an actual alternative, then became even more rich off of that. Axlerod's plan was a mess of failures that started with him selling his oil fortune.

    • @emberfist8347
      @emberfist8347 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well his plan was actually as Mater explained to discredit alternative fuel sources and they would make a killing with all the oil rigs they owned. He never sold them off he just gave them to his criminal conspirators. Allinol wasn't regular gasoline either as it is a plot point that Lightning wasn't affected by the Microwave beam because he was using the organic fuel Fillmore uses which lacks the additive that reacts explosively to high-frequency microwave radiation. As for Mater never leaking, he is a tow truck he fixes cars for a living. It wouldn't make sense for him to not take proper maintenance of his own chassis when he does that for others as a living.

      Interesting fact: Disney actually intended for Elsa to be the villain. When they wrote let it go, however, they realized they had a cash cow and couldn't risk keeping Elsa the villain. So instead of rewriting/storyboarding/animating all they'd done so far, they opted to have a "twist" villain- Hans. This is why there was no foreshadowing, and why he acted so differently at different points. They had to shoehorn a different villain in there last second. IMO they should've just kept Elsa the villain, but... y'know... money.

    So for 5:30 - Netflix Dracula. In the prior two episodes they had well established that whomever Dracula drinks blood from, he gains their experiences and knowledge - or at least a part. He further displays this after having drunk from the police on the beach at the beginning of episode 3 and later in the farmhouse/cottage where he points to something and states that he knows what it is. After he was captured, the institute fed him blood from volunteers. Smart volunteers. Volunteers would know how to navigate the internet and most likely would know the wi-fi password.
    The end was definitely BS. I was ticked because I was really getting into that version of Dracula.

    I'm not all that annoyed at how the virus in the Andromeda Strain just mutated to harmlessness, that's at least vaguely possible. I got annoyed because my understanding of the virus (and forgive me because I haven't reviewed either version in 25 years) directly converted energy into matter, and the nuke was going to cause it to just cover the landscape.
    Problem is, a nuke converts only about 1% of it's mass into energy. Thermodynamics and entropy mean that you can't get out more energy than is there, so go ahead, nuke the virus. 1% of 50 pounds or so of enriched uranium converted into virus won't fill a bucket, let alone cover a continent.

That was the moment when I knew that movie was gonna be really dumb. I also liked the part where they couldn’t catch the resistance ship cause it was lighter..... in space you know the place with mass but not weight or that the lasers were arcing, or no idea how speed would actually work in a vacuum with no gravity or friction to slow down a ship so you know lack of fuel might lead to lack of oxygen or life support but not them being caught cause they wouldn’t slow down. Whoever wrote that has the scientific knowledge of a 4th grader cause 5th grade is space.when only one person in the galaxy can get them on the first order ship until they fail to meet him and instead get thrown in jail. In the cell right next to apparently another man who can do the exact thing only one man in the galaxy could do. Oh yeah and he can break out of the jail they are in whenever he wants he was just waiting for the plot to need him. Also Finn was the janitor on star killer base and snokes ship really both.... really. What paste licking idiot wrote this stupid movie. After they blew up several planets that held the republic senate. That's the equivalent to China nuking a UN meeting right in the middle of a meeting, and none of the other counties wanna get involved and just let China conquer the free world without a fight. Later on they said in some spin off novel that the first order somehow arrested entire armies and threw them in work camps in less than a few days, and the resistance had no idea this was even happening. Even though the first order isn't an empire, they're just a terrorist organization based on the empire.

    The Hobbit has a few examples of plot twists the movie did better than the book. For example, the book didn't have Bard show up until the chapter where Smaug attacks Lake-Town and he kills him whereas the movie has him bring the company to Lake-Town so he can be Chekov's Gunman. The other one is the Battle of the Five Armies is mostly offscreen because Biblo was hit in the head with a rock. The only thing the book explained better than the movie was the Eagles saving the day where Tolkien covered all his bases as to why they were (They were living in a nest on a nearby part of the mountain and saw the fire and checked it out) why they helped the heroes (Gandalf healed their leader once) and why they drop them outside of Mirkwood and not closer to The Lonely Mountain (The Eagles are afraid of archers and Lake-Town has more than enough because of their dragon problem).

    Maxwell Lord being evil in the comics. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't claim he was always evil despite him being vetted by Martian Manhunter. It was so nonsensical they had to go back and claim he wasn't always evil but turned evil sometime after JLI which made sense.

    When you get back to the kingdom and confront your asshat of a brother, you find out *he was an asshat for a good reason* and the path you were following would have lead to doom

    when the epic fight scene in breaking dawn part two didn't actually happen. The one decent part in the whole shitty series, and it wasn't real. booooo.

      I was so mad about that and I wasn't even a fan. I was dragged to the theaters for it and actually got invested in that scene and was so pissed off that it never happened. My mom's all relieved no one actually died but I'm pissed because I've sat through all those movies with her and felt like she should've been more pissed as an actual fan of the series be baited like that.

      Its in the book. alice shows Aro the vision, if he chose to fight, it didnt matter what he did to prevent his death or change his attack.. He would die in the end. So the Volturi called it off and then the cullen's brought the Amazon guy in to prove that edward and bella's kid wasnt a kid vampire but a vampire hybrid who wouldnt expose them to humans. The movie followed the book except carlile didnt die in the vision, that was a surprise to everyone who read the books.

      @@loretta2539 It was still a waste of time. It's very similar to the "It was all a dream" trope that no one likes since it makes it clear that the whole thing within said dream was pointless and didn't matter. That scene was just for a cheap action and tears grab 🙄

    Rockman X6
    That scene where ZERO said he hid himself while he repaired himself which is bullshit because at the end of Rockman X5 ZERO died either by saving Rockman X from Sigma becoming just a torso and buster or by the fight between him and Rockman X.

    3:38 Because the noise from the waterfall wouldn't cover a whole farm, and they have to sustain themselves

    • @adamvialpando106
      @adamvialpando106 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you can't just let one useful feature of a spot be the deciding factor. There is not as much space near enough to the waterfall to be covered by the sound while also being able to survive.
      At the farm sure there was more chance of being discovered but there was also more ways to escape or hide if needed. Not to mention food, electricity, and other things that are extremely helpful.

      If a waterfall can drown out conversations it can drown out construction work and farms aren’t loud
