Great job as always. With spring approaching, I know things will pick up, so I can't wait to see what you have planned. It's 80 degrees down here in Tennessee but I know it's been a lot different up there.
How great of you to do all that that is just wonderful I used to visit cemeteries looking for children's Graves that died at the turn of the century and during the Spanish flu You are doing a wonderful thing and you know it and I think that's great and I'm sure the spirits appreciate it
Susan died in Midland City. I don’t know why, considering she lived in Columbiaville in 1880. Laura married a Mr. Amie, and died in 1925. Her death certificate lists parents Ephraim and Susan (Beden) Allen. Kinda confused why she left her son with her parents. My guess is that he was visiting them when the 1880 census happened, and because 1900 was the next one, he was no longer living with his parents, and no trace can be found.
I did think it was quite odd that there is a Death record in the Midland death records for her if she lived in Lapeer. The only mention in the newspapers I could find of them was that they still lived in Lapeer in 1882…. So the rest is a bit confusing. My assumption was that she died either in Lapeer or on her way to Midland and the undertaking was done here… hence the death record… otherwise I have found nothing to connect her to Midland. I guess maybe her daughter lived here and she was visiting… who knows. Thank you for the rest of the info… that will help further my research.
@@Headstoneman I like when you do the veteran headstones. I mostly focus on my dad's channel which is what I am commenting from. But I do have one headstone cleaning job posted on the channel. I do contract work for Veterans Affairs on headstones in the summer. Have a tonne of videos that need editing and will start up my own headstone channel soon. In the meantime, I thoroughly enjoy your content, keep going.

You are so good at this. Love watching you
Thank you!
It could be that one of hers or her husband's relatives lived in Midland... The reason she would be buried there.
