I use a black adjustable flag holder that I bought off of Amazon. It's way easier to adjust the branch to the height you want, and I put a white oak branch in it. The leaves stay on the branch for a long time.
The leaves I put on there are dead, but have stayed on. If you’re going to run a trail camera I recommend knocking 90% of the leaves off to stop the camera from sending “false” pics. Thanks for the comment.
I have to walk through my plots also. I didn't like the idea but it doesn't seem to bother them. Don't see them picking up my ground scent at all. Rubber boots and spraying them before walking in seems to do the trick for me.
In my experience certain scrapes will stay active year around. Especially inside timber edges. They’re just not as big like in fall. Good luck this year.
No doubt. Scrapes near main travel corridors will be a hub all year round. I see a lot of big community scrapes open up this time of the year through mid November. Thanks for the comment!
Plot looks great, have you considered some 34-0-0, once the plants get up to 4 inches? I've found just before a rain, helps plots like this tremendously.
I have considered a variety of post emergent fertilizers. I know that brassicas love Nitrogen so I debated on doing a liquid fertilizer and spraying it on the plot. Thanks for the advice!
Finally an update 😅 looks great awesome setup. Time to hunt!
Ha, I need to get better at those. Thanks for watching!

Food plot is looking really good. I plan to put me out a mock scrape pole like that and see what happens.

Good luck in Kentucky!
Different farm. Thanks man!
Will you be teaming back up with Bill Winke this year?
No, I won’t try to do much filming this fall. All of my hunts will be posted here!
