Then it loses its true truck capability and towing goes out the window. Plus one of the nice things is taking 4-5 people and still having the truck with a small offroad camper for a good camping trip off road.

Super happy with my 2022 Mojave. Exactly for what I need it for and can still do 80% of what a rubicon does. Great as a daily and so far it’s been a good build. Waiting until after deployment to finish up with some wheels and 35s, re gear it and put on an aev 2 inch leveling kit that goes well with the Mojave package.

I tend to be the one person that disagrees in TH-cam comments.
I don't like electronics in a jeep wrangler, it takes away from what it was originally designed for, simplicity, ease of repair in the field.
The power top, hate it. 4XE, hate it. E-torque, hate that too, glad its not in my jeep.
Most people that buy these are not going to wheel it like we do, some will, most won't.
And when I say 'wheel it' I mean swapping axles, regear, lockers, lift, tires, bumpers, winch.
Driving down an Unassumed Road is not wheeling, it might get you in the door, and if your lucky you get infected with the Jeep Thing.
I love driving/wheeling with the top and doors off. And maybe I'm just old and like the simple things in life.
I have huge reservations about the next generation of Jeep and what thats going to look like.
Thou I did buy a 2018 JLU Sport, not because I didn't want the JK, because the JL was just hitting the lots, the dealer gave me such a good deal on the JLU I had to take it.
So to be clear, tech and electronics are fine in your everyday average vehicle. I just don't think it makes sense in a Jeep Wrangler.
OH, Cameras, I hate cameras. Talk about taking the fun out of wheeling. And I think cameras add a false sense of security. But like I said, I'm old, I think old school.
Keep the vids coming, I don't always agree, but thats what opinions are for.

Glad to have these opinions on the channel, I think that's what makes a good community, to be able to discuss vs. argue, tech is definitely much harder to diagnose and repair when off grid!

The multiple piece roof would be kinda nice...especially if it became a cover for the bed.....but as an owner of a 2016 jku Rubicon hard rock, I take the whole roof off in spring, summer and fall....after 6 years of ownership I notice that the roof panels have quite a noisy squeak to it when bumps are hit, pot holes and other things....but its a JEEP thing.....lol

  • @chriswilliamson806

As a Gladiator sport owner.. there's a bit I like about the truck, and a few things I wish was better.. Now, what i like about it. Mine was bought used, has a 3" lift, is on 34s, has a front steel bumper with winch, and has 3 different options for the top from the previous owner to name a couple of things. That's great, and why I bought it.
Now, what I wish was better. The seats, as being almost 6'4 aren't comfortable in adjustment. My wife however, feels she's comfortable at almost 5'10.. Cooled seats would be nice, and paddle shifters if it is ever to come about. Also, standard navigation would be nice. Oh, agreed about putting at least the Hemi in it. Or SC it it at least if they're going that way.. I get better fuel economy in my Dodge Challenger Scat Pack..
The reason for the paddle shifters.. on several occasions when off-roading I've accidentally pushed the shifter into neutral when hitting a bump.

I really hope that jeep homes in on the mpg. I have thought of getting my own gladiator rubricon. I hope they also work on the highway windage as well as the noise factor inside the cabin to make it quieter. Rear seats, I really wish they would redesign the rear seat with the seats folding down. and more space under their rear seats. A refresh, gladiatort that comes with a better lift, bigger more off road worthy tires

    • @vincefairleigh6899
      @vincefairleigh6899 ปีที่แล้ว

I agree, as long as they don’t make the Jeep to look too different and maintain the good approach and departure angle, I’d like to see a shorter hood to make it shorter, it’s not the best use of space, fuel economy is definitely a deciding factor, i can not afford to drive my truck all the time, I drive my civic mostly, the diesel sounds interesting due to how efficient it is, although I hear it might not be a reliable motor…

ok i was on the fence about ordering a gloss blue mojave. but as soon as you said theres a possibility the gladiator could get the hurricane. im waiting, cus thats the best engine i think for the gladiator. it will probably be equal or greater than the deisel in towing while also being for fun and rev happy, like the 3.6. personally I've fallen out of love with V8s tho, they really only suit fullsize trucks and most get em for the nostalgia. so heres to hoping they release a badass new color, make the standard engine option the 3.0TT, with an improved Mojave trim level. That is a vehicle i would factory order in a heart beat.

We do enjoy it but I did trade in my hemi ram 1500 for my mustang(def glad I did for production and fun reasons) but I wish the gladiator would have a V8. Never understood why they don't have the 5.7, even detuned in the gladiator. Would be nice to have a couple more modern standard features. I'm already nervous to lower the top and get dirty because everything is so nice and expensive and I want to keep her looking good. Leave the steering wheel alone. The steering wheel in the Gladiator according to their marketing team informed us that it's a nod to the original 1940s-era steering wheel. Paddle shifters make no sense in an off-roader. The manual shifting on the stick is good enough. Paddles make sense in sports cars but not an off-roader. It is just something to get in the way when you are maneuvering offroad. All digital in dash is nice but more tech to break. Maybe I am just a little old school (had a TJ) but just because one can do something does not mean they should. Keep the vehicle purpose built. As is, the Gladiator is great.

It pushes a lot of people away. At least make it an option that people can choose when they order them new. Bring more options but please don't do a crazy restyling. It's perfect the way it is.

I really hope Jeep makes the Gladiator into a hybrid. I went to the LA car show during the end of 2022, I asked some of the jeep associates but they even said that a few ppl had asked the same question. I bought my wife a JL sahara at the end of 2020, and I even fell in love with it. So at one point I wanted to buy the Gladiator for myself, but my work commute increased so a hybrid would be a great addition. If they include recon package and one touch open top are also pretty cool additions.

Currently in a ram 1500 now, wanting to go to a gladiator but the one thing that holds me back is the powertrain. Diesels aren’t for me and the 3.6 though may be reliable it’s underpowered for 2023. My truck is 18yrs old and has more power. I won’t downgrade ever. I like the idea of a midsize truck because it’s a little lower and can reach over bed sides. I also have dreamed of owning a convertible sports car. So the gladiator kinda kills two birds with one stone. Jeep really dropped the ball by not offering the truck version with a v8 even a 5.7 offered through all trims. I don’t need 20k worth of options I just need a great powertrain on a base trim. That would’ve been a huge success and would’ve cut into Tacoma sales no doubt. That’s my rant for now but I swear this tti6 better be everything and a ball of wax or I will never buy another jeep product again. For a company that listens to there customers they don’t listen too well.

If General Motor gladiator, Wrangler, and Wrangler Rubicon are identified year by years by the same cluster and infotainmente touchscreens, the interior of all of those 2023 gladiators or Rubicons Jeeps, most of people will think that these jeeps are not moderms vehicles because of they have the same 7-touchscreens in the cluster an center's console, that is to say that no 2023 Gladiator jeep or Rubicon can be compared to a 2023 Jeep Ford Bronco Raptor. That is why a 2023 Ford Branco Raptor is the most beautiful and capable jeep of all of time in this moment. The only negative part we can find in a 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor is that it can not give more than 15km by each gasoline galon consumpted, I hope Ford Motor Company be able to solve this problem without equipping a V8 in a 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor. This 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor will be able to have a consumption of one gasoline galon by each 33 kilometers and using the same gasoline galon in a 2023 Jeep Bronco Raptor, which has not yet been possible due to Ford engineers and or any engineer in world mechanics is prepared to, so to get this pourpose I think that Ford Motor Company should ask me for, in order to patentize this formule making more acceleration with less fuel or gasoline consumption. Do you know what I mean? Thank you. Dr. Luis Amador. Cel.: 1+829-554-3880. Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Nope, nope, and nope. I hope they never get rid of the analog gauges and actual buttons in lieu of a screen. I just traded my 2011 JK on a 2023 JT. The updates are apparent but the familiarity to my old rig are not just welcome, but iconic. Technology is great until it isn't, having actual gauges and buttons when a screen dies is imperative for those of us that actually go off road. Despite all the new features it still feels a lot like my 13 year old Jeep in a way that isn't lacking progress.

100% disagree with paddle shifters - if you want those buy a sports car. Besides, that might ruin the great audio control placement on the back of the steering wheel. Also, put more fuel under these jeep products . Extra after market extended fuel tanks are able to make use of space better than the manufacturer? That makes no sense.
