Yess in hispanic culture the Maruchan brand is a staple. I loove eating them. When i was little we would eat the packet ones like once a week but the cup ones are my favorite 🤗
Went to Yokohama Cupnoodles museum last April and it was one of the funniest experiences!! Everything in the shop was super cute so I literally picked every little things to remember and all kinds of Ramen from the shelves😆 I should visit here when we go to Osaka next year🍜
GIRL!!! I grew up in a very Mexican household & we 10000% always had Ramen on deck! Lol. Our aunts & uncles always referred to them as “sopas China’s” which translates to “curly soup” but idk about y’all. But we stay putting lime & tapatio sauce in them. Okay.. now I’m making my husband take me out for ramen today! Haha. Love the Japan vlogs!!!
ahhhh i'm so glad you guys went to the cup noodle museum, it's just one station away from where i live and every time i bring friends there they love it! great for making memories hehe
This is by far my favorite travel vlog of this year!!! You ate so much food that looks delicious 😋 I’m Native American from Arizona /New Mexico and Ramen is very popular for our go to snack munchie food!! Also Kool aid pickles, gummies and sunflower seeds!!!
I wish I knew you guys wouldn't attempting the arcade toy games! You can actually ask the arcade people to "reset" the toys for you cause sometimes they get moved and become impossible to get ! The best way to do it after they reset it is to clip its behind area into the hole ! Looks like you guys had so much fun :) I'm so excited to see all the new content you'll be creating in the future !!
In Singapore, there used to be a Cup Noodle brand on the market that many households would have (they were dirt cheap) but they stopped production but another alternative for most would be Nissin's Cup Noodle in the variety of Tom Yum, Chicken, Seafood and Curry. Tom Yum is always the way to go.
Grown up in my family and even with my cousins we always have cup noodles and ramen. It was a go to when I was a child by adding veggies, chicken, eggs and seasoning and even in my mid 20s it’s a staple for me
to answer weylie's question at the end, in the philippines, in regards with our staple processed noodle food - we love pancit canton! it's convenient and yummy! also, it's pretty cheap - like less than a dollar, so it's a staple "merienda" (snack) here or even for breakfast, with bread. we LOVE our carbs. lol
My childhood go to was the Mama instant noodles I think they’re thai. But I used to either crush it up and eat it as a snack with the seasoning or eat it as instant noodles. So bomb😋 if my parents were feeling fancy we’d make stir fry! Soo goood
SO FUN i love how inclusive you are with showing us what you’re doing in Japan - Planning to go in March and this is giving me hellllaaa ideas! What is the opening song?!
I'm currently in Tokyo, after leaving Kyoto and this is making me miss Kyoto even more than when I first got to Tokyo 😭 I'm about to leave to head back to Canada, but I'll definitely be watching these again in the future for nostalgia
It's so assuring and important that you mentioned how instant ramen is part of Asian culture! I definitely feel guilty for eating instant ramen because it has such a negative connotation, but really it's more of the emotional attachment to it!
I'm Filipino and ramen is definitely one of those comfort foods in my household. I love it when my dad puts carrot and cabbage, some hotdog and egg. :) I just started putting vienna sausage in my ramen which is soooo delicious. I've mastered the runny egg in my ramen too. I love how customizable it is. Cooking ramen is a skill! hahaha
We have the korean noodles - Nongshim (red bag), cup noodles, mama, and even Ramen - we use it to make crispy noodles w/sauce. In Thai/Lao it would be called Lad Na. 🙂
that shopping place you guys went to with the river has a reallyyy good crab restaurant!! it has a BIG crab outside you won’t miss it! if you guys have the chance please try it!
I love how Wahs Venezuelan side always shows because he always eats super spicy foods 🤣 I’m so happy when y’all always post 😭 Love from Texas 💚 oh and every Mexican/Hispanic family has Maruchan 👌🏼🤣
For Aussies, it's probably Vegemite. Rare a household doesn't have a jar somewhere even if they haven't used it in awhile. Australia is also at its heart very multicultural so we don't have super specific regional cuisine, although most will tell you is a chicken parmigiana. Only because it's a staple in local pubs to serve. A lot of our basic food thats been around for over 100yrs is very reflective of British stuff. Unless you're going to places with more adventurous cuisine like Sydney, you're not likely to find native indigenous food either.
Oh man, my eyes were GLUED to the screen during the cup noodle museum visit. Everything was super cute!! I hate excessive plastic, but damn, cannot deny how cute the bubble plastic packaging is!!!! I wanna hang it off my Xmas tree!!!! My family and I have these instant ramens on rotation: Nissan "chert zin yut ding" in the sesame flavour, shin ramen, indomie and the Korean fire noodles in any flavour.
such a subtle but cute move when wah put weylies hair behind her ear!! also loving the japan vlogs!! you guys are introducing to me new places that i HAVE to go visit when i go to japan next!! love you guys! ❤️
5:34 for a lot of crane games you need to clamp it twice so it has a better grip on the toy you're getting. One click going down and right when it's about to snatch it, click it again to secure the toy :)
oh, Don Quijote is called Don Don Donki in my country and I love their snacks and desserts!! Would love to travel to Japan some day too~ Loving all the vlogs!!
I’m Filipino so I like pancit canton 😛 our Equivalent to ramen lol. Although ours is served dry (no broth) with very little water to mix all the dry and wet ingredients. It’s so cheap and I can eat so much of it and never get tired of it! I like to make it a little fancy with adding chili oil, egg, sesame oil, etc. I grew up on that, but also the regular ramen you’re eating. But I much prefer pancit canton! 😁
Every households in Indonesia has indomie!! 😂😂 the variant is usually inspired by Indonesia's traditional food (e.g soto) and the best variant is called mie goreng, which is kinda similar with ramyun but it's fried, has thinner rounder noodle and serve with special sauce 🤤🤤
Every Malaysian family basically have Maggie, it's our instant noodle staple. It comes in our localized flavors , curry, chicken soup, laksa and tomyam.
Us Filipinos we have Pancit Canton! which is Ramen noodles but we actually drain the water out and it’s just dry noodles! SUPER GOOD, it’s a must try :)
Ramen noodles aren't a big deal in New Zealand, generally only if you're a uni student and don't have any money for food haha. Our go to food would probably be toast and Marmite (spread) or meat pies :P
I'm German and I'm going to say the staple convenience product that's in pretty much every household is bread and some sort of cold cuts or cheese - I know this doesn't really sound like a convenience product but I think our relationship with bread and "Aufschnitt" (cold cuts/sliced cheese) is pretty much comparable to how Asians feel about ramen :) Apart from that, I always have ramen in my house because I just love it so much but I don't think a lot of Germans do :D
As an African American woman I can tell you that Romen Noodles was a staple for me and my household. We would eat it wheb we didn't have anything else to eat, I love Romen Noodles 🍜❤
yes! Weylie you got right mosquito patch! It sounds weird that instant noodle tastes fresh lol BTW this is my very first time did not get ad before your video!
ramen is and was always a "i dont wanna cook right now" type of food for me and my family. Especially now that im in college i sometimes grab one if ive had a longass day
I agree with you about Asian and ramen noodles. I'm Indonesian and here we're very proud of our instant noodle, Indomie. I think you can find this brand in Walmart.
Growing up we had ramen noodles and I’m Mexican. Now that I’m older, I try to cook every meal. However, there are days where I am lazy. So, I will have frozen meals or pastas as a convenience food.
Why everything look so delicious? Soo jealous. I'm so happy about the whole Japan series ♥ I really need to go to Japan soon. In Canada, even if it's not really part of our culture, we still eat a lot of noodles (japanese, korean, pho, etc.).
Reminder: Always eat when you’re watching the vlogs or watch after eating because THERES ALWAYS FOOD IN WAHLIES VLOGS
I think it’s so cute weylie is always so accommodating like how she’s vegetarian but will go eat yakiniku for wah TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW🥺
Jamie Yoo pretty sure she’s pescatarian 🤔
In every Vietnamese household I see mama ramen, I especially love the creamy tom yum flavor ❤️ I think it’s made by Thai people though
Ji Yan haha i can relate so hard
Yeeeep, my mom always has mama and this pork jok cup lol
YESSSS!!!
My family is Mexican and I feel like growing up we always had beans or rice and I feel like I can eat them with everything!
Honestly for a lot of Latinos, cup of noodles is a HUGE thing lmao but we always be adding limon and tapatio to it.
Yess in hispanic culture the Maruchan brand is a staple. I loove eating them. When i was little we would eat the packet ones like once a week but the cup ones are my favorite 🤗
I’m going to Japan in February and these vlogs are giving me so many ideas!! I’m so excited 😍

That DIY carrying bag for the instant noodle is so cute!
Loved that you and Wah are able to share your food adventures 🥰❤️ Always look forward to your blogs.
GIRL!!! I grew up in a very Mexican household & we 10000% always had Ramen on deck! Lol. Grown up in my family and even with my cousins we always have cup noodles and ramen. It was a go to when I was a child by adding veggies, chicken, eggs and seasoning and even in my mid 20s it’s a staple for me

I lived in Jordan for awhile and ate indomie almost everyday while at school! mi goreng is my favorite flavor with veggies and egg
My friend introduced me to Indomie & omg...... I have never gone back to regular ramen ever since!!
It's so assuring and important that you mentioned how instant ramen is part of Asian culture! I definitely feel guilty for eating instant ramen because it has such a negative connotation, but really it's more of the emotional attachment to it!
