  • I took my New Ruger Super Wrangler to the range today to sight it in and do a little first-time shooting review. I shot about 125 rounds today. I also do a post range, thoughts, and comments. Thanks for watching. It's a nice .22 Lr revolver.

Mine is right on the money right out of the box. Love it!

If it's like the regular Wrangler, the ejection rod housing is aluminum but the rod itself is steel. I do find Wranglers get more accurate with use.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. You’re right.

If you want to dryfire any gun, I think a good practice is to stick snap caps in it first.

Learn to use your support hand thumb to cock the hammer. Doing that will allow you to maintain your hold and help avoid your thumb from slipping off the hammer. Revolver shooting 101.

I new to revolvers. Been shooting semi-autos for the past 40 years. I just caught the wheel gun bug last year. I’ll give it a try. Thanks for watching.

    What about 22 magnum accuracy?

I haven’t shot .22 magnum yet. This was my first time ever shooting my Super Wrangler. Today is Friday and I just got it on Wednesday evening and shot it on Thursday. I’ll be shooting it more this coming week and do another video with some .22 magnum. Thanks for watching.

I’m going to shoot some .22 magnum today. I may do a Sidekick vs Super Wrangler video too.

I can show you a rim fire cylinder on a wrangler that was damaged so much from dry firing it couldn’t be loaded. Link to the video. th-cam.com/video/Wl0lf0RPAPs/w-d-xo.html I’m not going to fry fire mine.

Do NOT dry fire these revolvers. I don't care what the owner's manual says. It will damage the cylinder!!

I agree. I own the Diamondback Sidekick too. The Sidekick cylinder has a cutout on each bore to allow for the firing pin, the Wrangler does not.

@@HotLeadretired I have a Diamondback that I bought last week. Inside the box in big bold letters and also in the manual it now says that dry firing this pistol WILL void the warranty. The paragraph that said dry firing was ok has now been covered over with a black sticker from the factory.

Does your cylinders have notches cut out in each cylinder bore? I watched the owner of Diamondback on TH-cam say, when they first came out, the manual said dry firing would void the warranty. Then they started cutting notches in the cylinders because he didn’t want to see anyone get their warranty voided for dry firing. I not going to dry fire mine anyway. Thanks for the info.
