I'm very glad this happened. This season is already a wash for me and this loss, in the fashion it happened, was like instant vindication for everyone who understood that Brown wasn't the problem. Lost the 1st and 3rd quarters... 🤔 What's the excuse for being "checked out" now (not that people making 7-8 figures EVER have an excuse to be "checked out")? It's based on a bunch of nothing but deduction, supposition, and extrapolation, but I feel like Clutch Sports burned our team down and I'm pretty disappointed in Fox for letting a shoe turn him into the match. I will be finding it hard to root for this team for a while and impossible (unless I learn something that dissuades me from that analysis) to root for Fox but I will continue to support you, because you are very good at this.
Mike Brown was a big problem but Doug Christie is probably more of the same. When you lose the locker room, there's nothing left to do but cut ties. None of the players even look bothered at all by the firing in interviews
Doug post game said wants more threes , said wanted more than the 40 threes we took last night , said he wants Ellis to let it fly more and criticized him for not jacking up more threes and driving
The ultimate problem is this insane belief that more threes is good . Whoever controls the area closest to the rim usually wins more often . Gotta be able to score easy baskets up close to rim . Also threes are not as effective as twos up close to rim on average because you also get the chance of a foul call or and 1s which are as many points as a three point shot .. unless you can be Steph curry in his prime you should never shoot that many threes
Thank you for common sense. To add, teams are hitting 40 to 50% shooting less 3s than the Kings. They are simply given perimeter movement to be comfortable.
When I played basketball daily in college at open gyms we played 1 and 2 pointers to 12 . So a three point shot was worth 4 points basically. Half the other teams we played shot tons of threes and we could always beat those teams by simply covering them and letting them shoot themselves to a loss. Threes are simply a bad shot , it’s too far from the rim and its low percentage due to simple physics.
I agree with your comments. We need a good coach not a Doug Christie type who was suppose to be a defensive guru. The kings are back on run gun no defense game. With a LeBron less lakers the lakers should not win with 132 points. No way but there was no defense and Sabonas who is ill cannot defend anybody especially Davis. Get a good coach now and get two impact players that can bang and score ASAP.
Monte and Vivek dont know what they're doing. DeRozen makes teams worse, specially teams that play with pace. Monte has had more misses than makes the past 2 years.i dont trust anything he makes at this point
They stink nothing is going to change. 35 wins tops. That may be a stretch. There is no light at the end of the Tunnel. I read Keyon wants to gp to the 76ers. Believe what ever.
Mike Brown had to go since he lost the locker room. Players were done with him and you need to side with the players. Doug Christie might be more of the same. Hopefully Jeff Van Gundy is available in the offseason
Is that locker room even worth losing? Think about it Mike was a hard coach on them who got on them during practice and games. The players clearly had some gripe with it, they are that soft they can’t be coached hard js it worth keeping that locker room? I wouldn’t give me Mikes Energy > Soft Shit Players Attitude
@@WidgetWagyu47292this is the perfect response… tons of other comments saying “he lost the locker room”…for what? Being hard on the team for sloppy execution on plays, bad fundamentals and calling out player mistakes on 4th quarter closeouts; (not just the pistons game) that’s what a good coach is supposed to do. There’s no way Joe Mazu or Thibs would get fired for being hard on their teams for continuous bad play. If the goal is to win a championship, crybaby and excuse mentality from the players can’t be present in the culture
I still believe few trades could fix this team. Nothing fancy just add few workable wings. Thats it. And finally fix rotations. What else ellis must to do to play more then huerter? The only player that adresses both biggest problems and he is not playing.. he should play 40 mins.. are they going to treat carter same way? I cant agree more about how horrible def is with monk and derozan. Why we must suffer if its clear that dd project didint work. Some may say we cant touch him since we just add him and that would look bad. So what. Does it look better to fire coach short after you give him a deal? Our problems are so clear. Its not like we have 3 wings that play quite good but we still loose. No we have one half wing.. i just dont get it.. you 2 good core players, few good role players and few clear holes and you dont need a star level players just few workable players. I am pretty sure if kings from season start would have those 2 wings we would be 19-13 now.. To trade fox is next easiest option after firing brown. But monte what about try to do some harder work and try to fix holes you made before choosing easier way. Again. For real kings organization is starting to look not sad but pathetic..
You (like Mike Brown, and probably Doug Christie) thought if you just keep shooting 3's, they will eventually start to fall. But they never did. Because if the 3's are not falling, you shouldn't necessarily keep chucking them, but find a closer higher % shot. Mike Brown straight told the players he "doesn't care if they miss, just let it fly". Just shoot more and more and more 3's and take for granted that they will start to actually go in. He rewarded players for shooting 0/6 and he punished them for hesitating. That only ingrained a mentality of volume>quality. A wide open shot is not quality if your priority is just getting it up. I know you will never acknowledge it but it's too much of a coincidence that so many players are now struggling to hit wide open shots at the same time

As if after 2 seasons of Mike Brown, they can wash the stench off in 1 game 🙄
Surely Mike Brown was the Problem!!
But Monte McNair and Vivek Ranadive are the bigger problems.
Surely!

The problem is Vivek Ranadive and his micromanaging and meddling in basketball decisions
Oh dear, now I fear for Doug's job security.... 😢
We have bigger problems than doug’s job security lol
The Ghost of Mike Brown - alive & well

I'm shocked that so many fans are just now figuring out who this team really is!!!! I saw this debacle coming 2 years ago.
Even after he's fired Mike Brown manages to make the Kings lose.
Till Vivek sells... No one should buy any game
Get well soon friend.
This is tiring. . . Hard to invest good money into a bad organization.
Let me change a few words here and this would fit Vivek perfectly:
It's hard to invest money into my organisation.

No.
Love the title, hate it also though
Keegan murray was scared of mike brown

Yeah I don't think firing Mike Brown was a win now move.

DeRozan & Crowder were not the players needed.
Out of the starting 5 2-3 of them need to be traded

dallas traded Grant Williams mid season ... i'd move fox or derozen

They didn't fall in the two games we scored 282 points?
@rmobnation9395 2 games? 🙄
Small team
Glad brown gone. Tired of the loosing. This is the low point of season because LeBron didnt even play and fox low percentage selfish ball.
