About this channel: We are the Smith's. A Christian family of 6, living in the country just outside of Georgetown, Texas. Granger, an author and former country music singer, Amber, an actor and stay at home mom, and their children: London, Lincoln, River (who we lost when he was 3yrs old) and Maverick.
Its not your scared of pools. In your mind you see a pool you go right back to that time. I was a kid and watched mom pass in hospital. To this day iam 41. I hate going into that hospital or when i see that blue hallway. I go right back to when i was the little boy standing at door looking at my mom. Still believing she was coming home with us. Love how real you guys are. Thank you

Your worries and fear are 100% understandable … you will be able to do this on your own time and your own speed. Just don’t miss out on living. You have such a beautiful family. I can’t imagine what you’ve all been through because I’ve never lost a child but you all still continue to be in my prayers.

We.say yes to what the Lord leads us to. We are not born to be happy or avoid stressful situations and people. Sometimes God allows them in our life to learn patience kindness laying down out lives etc.

Can’t wait to see the vlog of your trip. July 7, 2019 I lost my little brother to a #d accident at the lake. A little under a month before, I had mourned the loss of your river.💔💔 I have two teenage boys now and it’s still terrifying for me to let them go and be with friends near water. I’m so proud of you all.
My first summer job I was 12 years old and worked at Huffman Hoods. We lived on the lake and the owner was our neighbor. He used to have me drive him (at 12 years old) back and forth from Lake Whitney Tx to Alvarado Tx. I basically swept the shop, cleaned and learned how to work on fiberglass hoods.
I hope y'all have or had a wonderful vacation! Time with family is so important. Those memories for your kids when they are grown, something they'll cherish.. when you're older and so are they, you'll be able to look back and smile. My dad passed away 3yrs ago and about I think 10yrs before he passed he had me plan a big family vacation to Tybee Island.. we had the BEST time in an awesome house right on the beach. No pool, only the ocean. Gosh if yall ever want to just get away, that place is a double decker where you can rent out the top and bottom just one. Well we had our lil palm tree that was in every photo. There's a very wide beach before you get to the ocean, the lighthouse isn't far and you're far from the tourist side of the island. Anyway you'll love it if you ever decide to go just enjoy the beach. You can go to Savannah in about 10 or 15 min. And enjoy it. Love y'all!! Oh my goodness leave us on a cliff hanger...lol! I love seeing the whole family together. You can tell everyone is excited. I loved getting a sneak peak of little David. He still looks so tiny and cute. I loved seeing Amy she seems so chipper and bubbling with joy and seeing Tyler excited like a little kid! Excited to see the rest of vacation adventure at beach 🏖️

I was in a bad truck accident when i was 18 that forever changed my life. I started driving again 5 months later because i knew i had to "get back on the horse" but to this day i cannot ride or drive without thinking how any drive can change everything. I can see that look on granger and amber when they were talkimg about pools. Like they said its not out of fear but the fun in it will probably never return understandably. I dont expect to ever truly relax in a vehicle like i did before my accident, trauma does that. It makes you aware of the worst case scenario and it is hard not to think about it when you are reminded of that past trauma.
So exciting to watch as love family vacation times. I'm going to pray that y'all have a blast. Enjoyed watching. Much Love to the Smith Family.

Oh man ... That pacifier! Mav has great intelligence, don't try to keep him a baby! He's not using the pacifier to be pacified, he's just sucking on it and running around. you can already see it's been bad for his teeth, which causes speech defects. let the little guy grow up ... Pacifiers are for tiny babies who can't pacify themselves
