Been hauling hoppers out here in western Canada for ten yrs, best trucking job I’ve ever had, absolutely love it. If you need any advice hit me up I’d be happy to help
A lot of these videos make me so glad I retired after driving for 40+ years. I used to HATE going into a complicated facility for that very first time, and feeling like a big dope when I'd fuck up.
Been watching all your videos. You definitely inspired me to want to drive. Keep up the good work. I also started wearing a watch again. I don’t why I stopped. It’s nice tool to have.
50:08 sick dude. great video, i rly liked the angle pointing back at you instead of facing forward it was cool seeing the truck be driven from that angle. hope to see some more grain hauling.
Hi Matt, new subscriber here from Buenos Aires, Argentine. Just binge watched all the 31 vids from your playlist, so interesting. Love the landscape, the chat, shifting gears and parking. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Cheers mate!
Grain on doubles is pretty wild, mate. As you put more weight on the lead trailer axle by putting weight in the front of the rear trailer it will reduce the weight on your drives. Don't ask me how it works, it just does. Also, when you settled on to flat ground the weights will be different again. Also, mate. When you're doing up the tarps tighten them by the handle then use the whole arm of the handle to leverage those tarps to be a bit tighter. More tight=more good because less flappy flappy. (Others will say bad because more wear on the tarp handle etc etc. Eh, your choice. IMO, more tight=more good. One last tip: On a dry day, grain is dusty as hell. Keep your windows closed as much as possible.
I've noticed the weight changes when I load the front of my second trailer on the flatbeds too! I figured this would be the same kind of concept so I wasn't overly worried too much. These guys know what they're doing loading trucks!
Im a local steel hauler in the area i know it quite well, instead of taking 403 e to Lincon Alexander you should just stay on 403 E all the way down to the QEW split and just keep right go over the skybridge and it leads right into nikola tesla. Never take Hwy 8 through hamilton you'll be right in the S*** show lol
Great vid. I've always been on the look out for you, no luck yet. But nice to see you up and over Nicola Tesla. My route to the mills for 38 years. Glad it all worked out for you. Cheers!
Now that is so cool to see you delivering something different than flatbed loads.😎 And making your own music? Amazing at it's finest! 🤩 No copyright, always music that you like... And that we love to listen to...🤠
What a day fella, what a day ! We watched it all. Even down to the last leg, pulling into that truck stop, that other truck pulling in forward. You said do you have to move, no way, he can move. We felt the stress when the truck didn't start. The stress of that port first time. Wow. Shame you didn't get home, what a pest. You'll have to do a video of the sleeper one day.
Good evening, Callthemall! Ohh, off to a good start, are yuh!! Hey, you are doing great, for sure!! Keep up your great work & driving skills!! Cheers & keep safe!! 🥰🥰🦅🦅🦅🦅
I love your channel man ! Made me consider trucking as well, you seem so enthusastic about it and you have a great attitude ! But for some reason the job seems less enjoyable here in France (or Europe)... Anyway I'll keep travelling watching your vids !
Aww man I was hoping to be in this video. I pulled into that Flying J the day after, as you were pulling out, and gave you a wave. I was towing my wash trailer at the time. I'd love to wash your truck come spring!
Now you're playing a Saskatchewan trucker. Grain haulers are everywhere there. When hauling loads like that or any loads that are paid by weight, try to get as close to max legal weight as possible. For 63500 kg max gross try to be as close to 63000 as possible. Farmers don't like being shorted like that.
damn, you were in my city, i would have loved to see you rolling by. i watched a guy from mossley doing grain runs at that dock with 15+ trucks stuck for 2-3 hours, so you got lucky i guess, especially your first time there lol. love the videos, been watching for 2 years, your trucking vids and seeing you do loads in familiar places all these years is so cool, almost makes me want to get my CDL. keep up the great work.
you have nice attitude. Even when you doing first time something like that and you just laugh, maybe little nervously, but you just go there and do it. It all works out eventually
We don’t have B doubles in the uk. I pull double deck trailers instead. I think that’s our closest alternative. If you can’t go longer, go taller. I’d love a go on the b doubles, reversing is my favourite part of the job.
Nothing worse than going to a new place and it's super confusing and full of delays. Then the next time you go it's perfectly fine and 100x quicker lol
Its interesting how you first time do agriculture loads. I have only did grain loads :D but not with truck, tractors! (Trailer with a trailer max, but it's not semi + semi like those B trailers do :) ) Kinda imagined most truckers do haul farm stuff sometimes, but I forget that cities exist and you can go only for building materials for life for example :D
This reminds me of the many times where I've had to power only and go pickup a new type of trailer to my experience, but was thrown to the wolves and had to figure it out myself, lol! Yes, there were times just like this where I had to ask another driver who was picking up the same type of trailer for some tips, etc. It normally takes me one day to figure out a new trailer, and by the end of that day or even the end of that week tops, I'm operating that trailer like I've been doing it for years. I actually kind of like being thrown to the wolves, though, to be honest. I don't know why, but it just hits different that way for some reason, lol!
Cool man thats you playing. Multi-tasking in motion. . Im glad you film your whole trip, in fast motion at times on the hghwy, n such. . Hahaha 😆 😂 Boy you haveta do so much math in Ur head. I nevah wld have succeeded as a trucker!. Where U really good at math in you head? Thats Impressive.! 😅. Enjoy be on this adventure w U. God bless ya. Safe travels man.❤

Still working away on the basement, progress has been slow as it is in liveable shape as it is. But everything has been framed and insulated. Drywall about halfway done, still to do are lights (properly) doors, flooring, laundry room
Hey it's a long discontinued brand and model but I've had it for over 10 years and no other mount I find I like. I forget the name on it but it has the word mini in it, I'll look next time I'm at the truck.
Yeah it's getting bad now eh? I need to do the entire truck, and that will be after frame rails which is this years big project. Always something to do on her!
Hello Matt that is a different kind of load how do you like it and what would happen if you went over your time on the books with driving it’s only one hour I used to know a couple of truck drivers that never put the exact time on the books is it a big deal now in today’s trucking world I enjoyed this video thanks have a great week here from Ontario Canada ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🥶🥶🥶😎
With the elogs it is flagged on the system on that day and if I'm inspected by mto within the next 14 days they can issue a ticket for it. Since it's my own company though there's no repercussions by the big boss man at least 😎

Beats tapping a super B of lumber.
30 years driving truck and never tried hops. Good job and good to have friendly receivers and shippers.

Depends on time of day. The 403, at the bottom of the mountain, is screwed out to the QEW in the morning
You, your truck and your music 🎶 gives Soo much Gothic vibes 😉. love your videos. keep it up rockstar ❣️
I thought saw you hauling grain trains down the 401 a few weeks ago, been waiting for the video to come out lol!
I'm in the ag buisness but I don't get to see this side often (transport/grain export, etc.). It was nice to get an inside perspective!
I work for a company that does ALOT for Agri companies, especially Masterfeeds. But we do van work

Geese guarding port entrance is on point :D
Truly a man of great talent, another great video, and good job on the music.
I just love to hear you shift gears on that big ol diesel. You could be hauling cotton and it would sound great.
Some nice Lode Kings! Likely my dad or I brought those back.
Привіт гарного робочого настрою удачі. сьогодні робочій день на зерновозі,цікава подорож.☕🤙👌👍

same trains i pull ! i love it !!
I love your channel man ! Made me consider trucking as well, you seem so enthusastic about it and you have a great attitude ! But for some reason the job seems less enjoyable here in France (or Europe)... Anyway I'll keep travelling watching your vids !
Great videos. Appreciated from those who drive on the small roads of Ireland.
Dash looks amazing at night 👍
Awesome Channel! I always keep an eye our for you on the roads, no luck seeing the truck yet!

Hauled a lot of corn to Ceylon feeders if you know of it. Took a lot of ash and salt out of Rocanville too. Good truckin country up there
@Amp389x haven't lived there in 15 years. I lived in tisdale.
I’ve loaded on scales with tankers and the pumps automatically shut down just shy of max weight, you get the BOL and scale slip all together.
If you are hauling grain from the farm most scales cut you a bit of slack because they know you might not have good ground to load on.
You mean we can’t just load it to the ridge poles and drive drivah
Great show, thanks, been missing it for a bit but catching up.

I'm from Alberta I pull super b hoppers full time. Cool to see you giving it a try!
truck looks good hauling those.
you have nice attitude. Even when you doing first time something like that and you just laugh, maybe little nervously, but you just go there and do it. It all works out eventually

In Finland we have b-doubles. I drive one lenght 25,25 meters and weight 76000 kg.
Nothing worse than going to a new place and it's super confusing and full of delays. Then the next time you go it's perfectly fine and 100x quicker lol
National Steel Car for the railtrucks! Used to work there.

So do I, but the trucking business always comes first and it's been a very busy year!
@@callthemall Well, I'll be here when you post bro !

Wow great guitar music playing in the background playing😊
I do see B-Train grain truck trailers on hwy 401 in Ontario 😅
They're everywhere
Super instrumental. The other time he played It's Not a Grave by Johnny Cash
Saw you rolling through dutton today, truck looks absolutely beautiful in person!!
Nice playing man. Good music

Now you’re hauling Saskatchewan style!! This is the most common truck and trailer here, called a Super B here. LodeKing HGF28-3 ST Prestige Super B😎🤙
Any tridem/tandem double trailer is referred to as Super B, whether it's grain hoppers, flat decks, tankers, whatever. A trains, B trains, C trains all refer to the axle configuration.
@ Yep ya betcha! Everybody calls it a b-train but Canadians/saskatchewanians call it a Super B, and yeah it can be any kind of trailer type
Super b would specifically refer to 3 axle bridge and tandem pup, b train is 2 axle bridge and 2 pup and then there’s king bs which are 3 and 3, Co-op runs some king bs
@@jasonunger2776 Yup, and 2 axle bridge and 3 axle pup is a reverse Super B. I pulled those while hauling logs.
@@jasonunger2776 True, everyone calls Super B’s b-trains but that isn’t correct

I wonder if those birds are port-o-geese? 😂 Nice vid and love the music!
Great video Matt. I missed seeing you in kerwood. I hauled corn and beans into p&h alot this fall and never seen you.
Changing guard rails same day is impressive! I’ve seen it take close to a year here in Pennsylvania!
Right???
Whau new truck new nice job 👍👏🥰🇨🇿😏cool video
Have you finished your house, you were about to start on the basement?
Still working away on the basement, progress has been slow as it is in liveable shape as it is. But everything has been framed and insulated. Drywall about halfway done, still to do are lights (properly) doors, flooring, laundry room
Good job Sir. Always load 2nd hopper with focus on truck gauge , then 4, and when you do 3 you adjust accordingly
14 hour shift in hour and a quarter. I won't see you on the road because I deliver to Home depots art night, but keep on keepin' on.
Nice music you make Matt 👍
Pulled those off road for Frac jobs in Alberta
Man l want to see you to haul cattle
Very impressive, In Manitoba it'd be broken for months probably.
I really like your tunes. I do the same thing here at home.
How close was your weight on the second load?
A little heavier but still shy of max
All you need to do next is all some cows then you’ll really be an ag guy
Great video!!!
The guys at p&h in kerwood and pretty much all their sites are good guys
What happened to the loud pipes you put on that truck last winter?
Got pulled over by mto and they didn't like them too much lol
Big loss 😂@@callthemall
all i can say is if your going to a mill to dump bring food for the day 7/10 it will be an all day adventure at the mill lol
Out of topic question, what dash mount do you use for your phone?
Hey it's a long discontinued brand and model but I've had it for over 10 years and no other mount I find I like. I forget the name on it but it has the word mini in it, I'll look next time I'm at the truck.
Operating grain hopper bottoms is definitely easier than flat bed work, but does it pay better? And how about frequency of work available?
Flat bed never been this slow.7-10 days off between two trips.Grain hauling can not be this slow.
Thanks for the adventure and the music. Ever considered making a music video?
Another great video, cheers!
Outstanding content
Man I think I saw you one day but I saw the grain doubles and not the flat beds so I didnt think it was you
Do you guys not have agg exemption in Canada? Or does he possibly not know about it since he's never done agg before.
một hành trình khá thú vị 😊😊
50:05 I knew it, somehow your face reminded me of Jeff Waters.
ingin sekali mencoba truck legend ini.tapi di indonesia tidak ada truck ini😊

I’m not sure if you’ve got a bad radio in your truck or what but all you got on that with a bunch of static as you know
