Sepultura's 1991 powerhouse 'Arise' was one of the great metal albums that teenaged me cut my "drum teeth" on. Igor killed it with his groovy beats, and there's always a bit of fire tossed in for good measure. Also, the sound production is top notch (at its' apex, in my opinion). 'Arise' is my absolute all time favorite Sepultura album, followed closely by its' predecessor 'Beneath The Remains'. When 'Chaos A.D.' came out I was a bit disappointed, to say the least. The sound quality, not to mention the actual musical composition, was solidly a step backward in my eyes. I didn't/don't hate it, but I'll take 'Arise' and 'Beneath The Remains' any day 🤘
