Glad you enjoyed ninja gaiden. The best versionof part 1 is ninja gaiden Black on original xbox in 2005. Even if they added some textures on playstation. the Enemy Ai is really good and better than games like devil may cry. The sigma ones they actually nerfed the violence, specially on Sigma 2 adding the purple myst stuff and censoring some things too, they removed the entire cut scene from ninja gaiden 2 with the demon fiend lady bathing in blood for instance(maybe too risque for the sensitive climate nowadays). Then best version of part 2 was original Ninja Gaiden 2 on Xbox 360. Tomonobu Itagaki the main director had quit after part 2 on 360 and that's why part 3 was bad because the new guy wanted to make ninja gaiden like God of War with a bunch of QTE stuff and removed violence (dismemberments,etc) then they fixed it with Ninja gaiden 3 Razor's edge, bringing the violence back. Still hoping we have a 3d ninja gaiden sequel. Will still play the 2d one coming up this year or next.

I loved and hated this game so much some of the best combat but difficulty was craaaazy
