That was a really good point about understandability. If Ainz used The Goal of All Life is Death, for instance, which definitely is one of his most powerful and unique spells, would the low level humans even be able to understand it...? The "worth" of that spell is that it allows "unkillable things" to be killed; to AoE one-shot lvl 100 players as done vs Shalltear. ...But the problem is, there are no lvl 100 players to use it against. Furthermore, lvl 100 players are beyond their cognition; they don't have a sufficient point of reference or mental preparation to understand what one-shotting such a being truly entails. The AoE isn't likely even that big all things considered. So displaying such a supreme spell with "broken" effects, would be utterly pointless and unimpressive because they lack the basic background knowledge to be impressed by it. At most it would be exactly what Jircniv wanted; a highly powerful spell that demonstrates Ainz risk to them, but ultimately nothing completely beyond the realm of understanding and truly unsurmountable. From the point of view of new-worlders, the destruction caused by such a spell would just kill a few thousands and still be comparable to an uber powerful fireball or something. They'd still firmly believe that if they braced themselves for major losses, they'd be able to take him out...... But Ia Shub Niggurath completely spl--crushed such feeble idea by putting in very plain terms what going against Ainz means: armies are trash and if he wants he can wipe them (humans) out completely by just waving his hands a few times. As Ainz himself remarked, this occasion was perfect to try out the "weak", mostly gimmicky spell Ia Shub Niggurath...
Um, "The Goal of All Life" is a special class skill used in conjunction with an instantdeath spell, to buff it's power and kill what's not alive to begin with.

The zuranon corpses, that black speaking death ball with hamusuke, platinum dragon lord, the kingdom plot, the godkin, all the other parts of that world. So many plot points. Also it feels its just the surface, so many books and yet feels like little content you know. I really enjoyed the LN. Plus the sobin drawings are awesome!

When you said he had to use a spell, that everyone would understand. I remembered whe death of Clementine. He could have used weapons, spells or could have hugged her. There is no difference since she died in any chase. Same with the army. There is no difference between the nuclear blast spell and splat. The enemy dies in both chase.
Ainz wasn't just trying to eliminate the Royal Army, he was also trying to do so using a spectacularly flashy spell so that the Imperial Army would have an idea of what they'd be up against if they decided to go to war against him. If he only wanted to wipe out the Royal Army in a quick and efficient manner, he would have just sent Mare after them.

They could dedicate at least 2/3 of a season to that arc. I don’t believe we’ll see it in season 4 though if that happens. Season 4 I believe will be the establishment and entrenching of the Kingdom of Nazarick in the New World. This means we’ll end up seeing mainly things like Ainz’s “walks” where he just so happens to subjugate Baharuth in 3 days while Demiurge’s plan would taken him 2-3 years and how he subjugated the dwarves, ice dragons and mole-men in just less than a week.

It's so funny how Ainz just wanted one of the elder spawn to come to him so he could use it as a mount, but the Empire soldiers(who were already flanked by soul eaters and death knights) probably thought he was about to kill two birds with one stone. Truly would've been a work of tactical genius.
Another question for light novel readers, as i dont know: Do you think 6GG is stronger or on par with the 8GK? When Surshana fought and died, did he at the very least give them trouble? Or do you think they smoked him in seconds?
I theorise that Surshana was level 100 and that the 8 greed kings where level 100 as well. Surshana (at this point in time) had lived for 100 years as an undead in the new world, so I believe that his experience would have given him an edge against any of the kings in a one vs. one fight. But the Kings had the numbers on their side. Especially because like Ainz they where transported alongside their guild base, while Surshana was just a lone lvl 100 Undead.
I'm actually curious why they fought in the first place. Like, what's the story behind this battle, couse I highly doubt they just went after each other on sight.

I mean the dragon lords were weaker back then and their wild magic was useless to world item holders. Surasha doesn’t look like he gave them much trouble because the numbers though the Theocracy may have put some bias in their recordings.

It could have been so so much better in the anime if they hadn't used CGI. The dark Young trampling on someone and crushing them into paste, blood and entrails and broken bones coating the ground... I can totally see it being translated into the anime if they had taken the care to do so, and it would have made for a much more impactful season finale.

No they (creatures summoned through a sacrifice of a living body) stay on forever .for eg: death knights, soul eaters etc. But if I remember correctly from LN ainz ordered the dark young to disappear.

Well if you think of it, the empire was looking for a weakness in ainz. Yes they were allied, but jircniv was looking to screw over ainz. So Ainz's spell pretty much wiped out their attempts to fight him too. So in theory, he caused despair and destroyed the motivation of two armies from ever wanting to fight him. Even if they decided to work together.
U know what would have been better, if Ainz could control that spell so that all 240000 men died instantly whithout the goat summons and also sparing gazaf, the king, blue haired guy and Climb in the process just to flex. NOW THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EPIC AND TERRIFING SIGHT.

According to the overlord wiki, they dissapear after a set time apparently, I gues they are just too powerfull to be made permanent summons.

Well if you think of it, the empire was looking for a weakness in ainz. Yes they were allied, but jircniv was looking to screw over ainz. So Ainz's spell pretty much wiped out their attempts to fight him too. So in theory, he caused despair and destroyed the motivation of two armies from ever wanting to fight him. Even if they decided to work together.
He routed the empires army
U know what would have been better, if Ainz could control that spell so that all 240000 men died instantly whithout the goat summons and also sparing gazaf, the king, blue haired guy and Climb in the process just to flex. NOW THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EPIC AND TERRIFING SIGHT.
