I’ve got about 100hrs in this game. At first before the 1.0 update it wasn’t great. But the devs have really put in work to make this game fun and enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out

It looks like they have fixed some of the issues and polished it up a bit more. Might be time to check it out again. Thanks for the video!
Not nearly as fleshed out as MD and similar yes because same publishers and genre (Dynasty survival rpg, management). MD has had a lot of time to get it right whereas SD is newer. If you have to pick one right now, I’d go MD but I’ve put many hours in there and would like a change of scenery.
There has been for a while. Idk about when you played it last. It’s not super in depth (at least when I last played) but it was there. On a more in depth combat system in that time setting I’d go kingdom come deliverance.

Also the rain-roof bonfire, the white subtitles during cutscenes behind a white backdrop, making them hard to read are some things that should be corrected, I think. Other than that seems like a game worth investing some time in it surely! Gives me some Bellwright vibes because of the whole village building going on (even though it is a VERY different game). Lastly, the village herbalist’s name was Mata, and I remember my mind going “what’s the mata? You need herbs” upon meeting her during the quest !
@@PartiallyRoyal Toplitz Productions is the Publisher for Farmer's Dynasty, Lumberjack's Dynasty, Medieval Dynasty, Sengoku Dynasty, Wild West Dynasty and the upcoming Vikings Dynasty (planned for release this year). And they do list a different Studio as Developer on each game, but didn't look too much into it. It looks like they own the Base Game Engine and contract smaller Polish Studios to produce different flavors of Dynasty Games.
my big problem with all the "dynasty" games is it feels like they're all basically the same exact game but with a different skin, kinda like they just threw the same game out there 4 times, updating the code of each separately and just slowly buying more unreal/unity assets to shove in there as time and funding permits. I honestly wish they would have just rolled them all into one giant "dynastys" game where you can just switch back and forth between the maps/colony skins at your leasure. If I am wrong in the fact that they're just all identical reskinned cash grabs I will gladly pick up both mideval and sengoku because those two periods interest me.
Looked interesting enough for me to consider buying. Went on Steam to see, couldn't find it at first as I had hidden it at some point. Can't remember why. Read the reviews, now I get why I had hidden it. Shame.

You can change the walls from simple to better ones. You need wood or stone, but there is less maintenance to do.
