A good reminder. I have to go too TH-cam and remind myself from time to time when changing a battery.

As you saw in this video, Jimmy is right. Want to go further? It's easier to insulate a metal tool using a nitrile glove. For example, this is helpful if you need to cover sockets while removing a part while under power, such as a starter where the battery is buried in a wheel well or under a seat.

Positive on first so it doesn't spark and fry you of your electronics and Negative comes off first. When I was going through tech school, both cars and motorcycles this was on literally every written test we took. They also make red electrical tape, I keep a roll of red and black tape in my tool box.

Just 1 complaint Jimmy you should use a box wrench instead of the adjustable.
When I was working I’ve seen people who changed their own tire and put the lug nuts on backwards (tapered part facing out)

That's true. I just had that tool with no plastic coating on it. Just to explain the Rag I had in the video.

Yes, always disconnect neg. first then pos. ,, reconnecting, pos. first when neg , otherwise if done wrong will create a spark which could hurt computer ,battery etc. When jumping someone with cables same applies in connecting cables

Years ago, my cousin was working on his Jeep. Got his wedding band wedged between the hot post on the battery and the inner Fender, burnt his finger all the way around the width of that wedding band, so you'd got to be careful around the hot post even if you're not messing with the cables.😢😢
I saw his Finger, after the fact it was not pretty.
You and Mrs. PIb have a great day.
