The prices on those cars are ridiculous....half the stuff don't work...ac,windshield wipers,turn signal,radio etc....don't do it

Without a doubt, "cash for clunkers" was the biggest punch in the gut to folks like us! I mean, I get the need to salvage and recycle rust buckets that are too far gone to mess with, but there were so many good trucks and cars needlessly destroyed, and it seems like it happened overnight! I think about it when I'm out looking for parts and I still get mad sometimes! Oh and don't get me started on those stupid "new and improved" gas can fill nozzles! Sheesh what a joke! Anyway enough of my soapbox! Your '66 is a sweet truck and I'd bet it could fetch somewhere around 20k. I may be too low with that estimate but just thinking if it were LS swapped it would be in the neighborhood of 30k and that might even be too low. I still say if you put a graphic on the back glass that says "mounds don't" it would be priceless! 😁👍

On Maple Motors? or any "Classic car dealerships" for that matter, the answer $678,9886,089. Why? because they cater to people who either don't know cars OR people with more money than brains. 6 months ago I saw a pale yellow 1971 Pontiac Catalina Convertible on Maple Motors, Price? $37,500.00..... Now I LOVE my 1970's cars but $37,500 for a 71 Catalina? Man GTFOH with that, that's a 22k car all day long, why? Pontiac Catalina, THAT'S WHY. "But it's only got 3500", IDGAF, it's STILL a 1971 Pontiac Catalina...... $37,500 is INSANE. Your not paying 37,500 for that car on Barrett-Jackson.

These trucks are priceless, you know everything about it, If you sell it id start high like 25k or more , anyone would love to own that 66,, look up Davis Drives in Virginia, they fix up lots square body chevys that bring ,$ 50,000 of more ,Davis Drives has lots videos out

Backing out of garage little fast, that's difference with the automatic you can crawl backing out using brakes, the four speed in gear you have to just go , but nice ride in the neighborhood, great truck...

Jimmy, loss of coolant without a leak is often due to the radiator cap. Please replace the radiator cap.

But I do have folks that want to buy them, but I am not ready to sell just yet. I don't mention much because I don't want to sound like that. I am bragging. I am not. The Lord can take all this away from me very quickly. I hope you understand what I am saying. When I am ready to sell, then I will sell. Right now, I'm happy.

Jimmy, back in the day my Dad taught me to drill a small hole in the thermostat for our small blocks. The hole will "burp" the coolant system and do away with any steam issues. Also having a coolant recovery tank thingie is a good idea. I drilled two 1/8 inch thermostat holes for my 85 long bed 305 mainly because I added Vortec 059 heads to that engine.
