Her dad was literally wearing a matching outfit with her in court - they were both wearing rosaries & all black - doesn’t seem like she had a strained relationship w him at all. When is the system going to start realizing that people who get caught consistently use mental health as an excuse to get away with truly heinous behavior? Both of those parents are losers and situations like this call for investigators to look into the parents as well. I hope they never meet that poor boy, and hope he’s doing great.

Now that I've done the math, here's what she's looking at:
16 yrs less the 475 days for time already served = a little over 14 1/2 years
It's possible for her to get another 705 days knocked off the sentence for good behavior
That put it down to a minimum of 12 yrs & 9 months prison time
She'll get out between the ages of 32-34 provided she doesn't do anything stupid in prison to add more time

My issue are when the parents got up there they had zero explanations or why she would have felt the need to hide or deny her pregnancy-to begin with. What had her life been like that she was so terrified to say anything to her own mother? How did her mother not see she was pregnant?
I have two amazing daughters and two sons. All graduated college all are amazing contributing member to our society. But let me say. If my daughters would have gotten pregnant I would have known! But before that could happen I had them at a drs office so that they were protected against pregnancy with birth control at about the age of 17.
And I’m not just assuming or guessing about what this girl might have been going through. I had a son at 15!!! I hid my pregnancy because I was petrified of my mother. Though never -never would I have harmed him. I love him dearly -that goes without saying.
I’m not going to judge her. That’s not my job for anyone. I’m just really tired of seeing these babies hurt or killed.

I don’t understand how the mother didn’t know either.. I have 2 girls and I would know even if they did try to hide it from me.. I was a teen mom I had my first daughter when I was 17 so I tried to be very open with both my children and let them know that they can come to me and talk about anything . This girl had so many options and she chose to throw that poor sweet baby boy away like trash in a dumpster. Those 3 angels were at the right place at the right time thank god and saved that baby’s life. She’s only upset that she got caught I seen no remorse from her but she’ll have plenty of time in prison to think about what she did and I hope it haunts her everyday. Her lawyer blaming mental health and her age irked me so much. I hope baby Saul has a wonderful healthy life and knows that he’s more than the baby thrown in the dumpster

Was concentrating on her age smart....even a kid in elementary school would know very bad things will happen if you through your baby in the dumpster. I do not know if she truly had a black out. I was hailed a hero as a nurse in my first year nursing. Yet after I saved many patients from a fire set by a patient, I can honestly say I don’t remember the complete details of the event. I did everything possible to save patients, put out the fire and secure records. I directed others into action and kept a cool, calm appearance. I was even used as an example of doing everything correctly in training all new staff. The patient who set the fire wanted “to burn in the fire.” He attacked me repeatedly to prevent being removed from “his fire”. Luckily my training with an expert nurse in the Alzheimer’s department taught me how to deal with some one not in their right mind. And no it was not a psych ward. I felt like you do when you are driving a route you have driven for years and as you get home you realize you don’t remember the drive.
I realize she may be lying because she did a horrible thing. But I know I did a good thing and I had trouble then and now remembering everything that happened. She did not do a good thing. Traumatic events happen and some call it a dissociative fugue or blackout or your fight or flight mode takes over. I do know the I wish strangers would get to adopt this baby so the baby never knows what happened. The baby deserves a chance for a good life without the stigma of that event that the baby is innocent of.

Anyone who can do this to another human being, much less their own child obviously has mental illness but that can never be a literal "get out of jail" card. In my opinion she is a sociopath meaning she has no regard for anyone or anything other than herself. Many sociopaths are able to function normally in society without killing their newborn baby, so whatever her mental illness is should not mean that she doesn't have to suffer the consequences for what she did. The biggest problem with a sociopath is they will never feel remorse for anything they did, they will only feel bad for what THEY are going through so the idea that she will have to live with what she did for the rest of her life means absolutely nothing. I hope she is forced to serve the full 16 years.

Had Alexis just had a late term abortion she would not charged with first degree attempted murder and she would not be sentenced to prison for 18 years. One day this little boy will grow up. One day he will be curious about his mother. This boys very fist day of life and by the grace of God, being found that day by 3 people who can only be described as human angels, sent to save him.
I really hope that at some point she does feel remorse, not for her self but for the child she abandoned. I hope she realizes the irreversible damage she has done to her son. She fully intended on him never being found. She threw him away. Literally.
I’m happy that this precious baby boy has a father who adores him and a family who wanted him. I have no doubt that they will protect him fiercely and provide the best possible life they can for him. 💜💯🙏

How much does something like this anger, People who can't have kids or people who get denied for adoption for insane reasons...? I would imagine that it infuriates them.
