they are already in financial trouble from what I heard, companies built on romanticized idealism never do well no matter how much do gooders try to cry it into existence only a matter of time before they have to sell and just become another advertising platform cash cow as some corporations 50th company they acquired
I’m a very small creator on most platforms but the engagement on Cara far exceeds what I experience on instagram by a long shot. The funny thing is, it’s not the likes, it’s that there are more comments and conversations and it feels so much more interactive than instagram has felt for years! I also get recommended so many amazing creators and a huge variety of art that many algorithms wouldn’t typically prioritize, I think more people should give Cara a chance before totally dismissing it. (Also unrelated but your editing is really good! I was engaged the whole way through!)
@@AnaS-of8ri artists in this context just refers to any visual medium, on Cara I’ve seen photographers, 3D model makers, glass blowing, traditional and digital art, etc. I think the platform does have the potential to include writers though, but also there’s Substack which is the main platform I’ve been seeing writers use lately.

"Oh a machine did it, it shouldn't be called art." See how that argument holds up? A skilled photographer works is on a different level than a random person who picks up a camera. I have been using cara for a bit now and its quite slow, but now having the context you shared in your video I will be more patient. I really hope that cara's popularity grows and we all move to it instead. I really feel like IG was killed by the overwhelming amount of ads. Its feels like only an advertising tool at this point.

Cara has said that they aren’t necessarily anti-Ai and hope to support “ethical Ai” in the future which is an oxymoron because there’s no such thing as “ethical Ai” also, glaze isn’t actually built-into their app. I thought that it would auto glaze once you posted but nope. You have to go to an external link via some tab in the app. And the link doesn’t work so..no glazing lol

I've read their about page and read their terms and condition, they outright saying that they don't support AI art but no mention of "ethical AI" support, the owner of Cara Jingna Zhang is a photographer that recently won a case against a plagiarism by using her photo with AI, the team comprised of people who got their work stolen by AI. and for the glaze thing, Cara is still in Beta and the website is funded by donation and small team, so the glaze is not working right now but they will be, that's why they redirected people to the original glaze website

i will try it again but month ago when i got there it were only really generic digital art and i couldnt find anything interesting even with digging by hashtags.
cara is useless for animators since you can’t upload videos. only links. so you have to upload it another platform first and only THEN can you post a video

Its still in its beta version so there is a lot of little bugs still going on. Didn’t get the email the first time but then I tried again and it worked. Haven’t been using it yet but at least secured the @ I wanted
the only people talking about cara are art youtuber's who want views😂 made by artists for artists is great if you are trying to be a broke starving artist who wasted their time trying to impress other broke artists, the company will soon run out of funding (I believe they are already in serious financial trouble) and it will just become another advertising sellout cash cow when another company acquires it it may be good to create connections with artists but that wont get you clients/leads and the job/career section will never become big enough to be meaningful unless you live in new york, london or major cities threads is the biggest upcoming social for artists to abuse as insta/facebook are dumping all their resources into it to try and make it popular and you carry over alot of your following from insta
