Thank You for the detailed video. My plumber installed the Delta Monitor 17 Ashlyn Tub and Shower kit alonf with the Delta R10000-UNBX Valve. Everything works great except the volume control. No water comes out on the first two settings (dots) above the OFF setting. One dot 3, only a little water trickles out, then on dot 4 (highest volume setting) water comes out. So basically it's the highest water setting or no water at all. Any idea what the issue is?

Any idea why my brand new delta multichoice valve is leaking immediately out of the box and with a cartridge change?

At 8:44 he said that he was going to make a video on how to adjust all of the temperature settings for this shower .. I have the exact same one and need to figure out how to adjust the temps .. It is almost like the Hot water in not going on all of the way because my showers are 'warm' at best. Anyone know where to find a video explaining how to do this??

Is there a ball joint or anything to angle the shower head down for short people? I had my building manager install the shower head and it currently is for a person over 6' tall.

First off, great explanation of the Teflon tape on pipe dope combo. It is wonderful for most situations. I absolutely love the intuition shower head from Delta. I have used them for years and Delta is a wonderful company to deal with no matter what. I register all my fixtures of mine and recommend customers to do the same thing. )There is no gimmick at all, great resource for future reference for customer service if needed)
Your lines in the shower are awesome as well. Wonderful choice all the way to the fixture. (Great job to your wife) 👍🏻

    • @TheExcellentLaborer
      @TheExcellentLaborer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

A lot of people do have trouble figuring out the tef tape so I figured the animation would help with that. Oh yes I should have mentioned about registering your products. I had a cartridge have issues one time and Delta sent one out for free. Ever since then I have stuck with Delta. Thanks for the compliment on the fixtures and shower lines. I will let the wife know you said so. Thanks for stopping by David!

@@TheExcellentLaborer I actually had great service with Moen too, but what appearance you like is a factor.
A great friend who sold a house I did work on had issues with the Delta kitchen faucet. I know all the things needed to troubleshoot things even to back flush to clear any debris. Still a slow water flow. Delta just sent a complete new faucet. (Also having the experience to troubleshoot and can save them money sending out parts and then choosing to replace the fixture. Easy to send photos while talking with a representative as well.
Keep up the great job and have a safe 4th of July.

    Hello Josh,
I am getting a lot of help from watching your video.
    I installed Delta R10000-UNBX cartridge.
If I turn on the water without the cartridge, it comes out just fine.
When the cartridge is installed, water does not come out.
But I don't know what went wrong.
Can you give me some advice on what the problem is?

    You are not a "laborer"........You are a skilled "craftsman"......There is a huge difference.......Ashamed people don't know this anymore....That's
the way the rich want working people lumped into one category. There are no skills; anyone can do any job; they are all just jobs that require
no skills. A laborer would mix your thinset and clean the tile; , throw out packaging, sweep and vacuum the floor, etc.....You do all the skilled
work; which takes discipline and practice; and experience. You are "excellent"......but you are not a laborer.
I dub you "The Excellent Craftsman"......great video's, keep up the good work, or, er, excellent work!!!

Just came across your videos, fantastic.
When I'm doing tap or showerhead/mixer cover plates I silicon a horse shoe around the holes under the covers with the shoe opening at the bottom, not to glue them on but to divert any water away. That way you don't need the silicon on the outside around the edges. I've done many showers like this & the water never gets in. I have tested it when wall linings are yet to be installed on reverse side of walls with my kids showering.
You explain each step very well, thanks for posting.
