Juliet had the rope cut on her when she first was trying to get to solos side. As well as when Solo starting freaking out about leaving the vault door open earlier. Both show that another person is in there and solo seems to know.
How good was the music this episode especially during the dive? Jules turning the pump on will allow Lukas to go down and find the tunnel door. Lukas will end up de-ciphering the message and it will lead him down there.
Hey Chris, there are 144 levels in each silo. From top to bottom it is almost a mile and a quarter deep in the ground. It houses a max of 10,000 people. Rebellions are not generational occurrences. Silo 18 had one 140 years ago from the present day of the show. Silo 17 had one about 25 years ago. Not everyone from silo 17 went outside. There were the decayed raiders in episode 2 that Jules had to step over a few levels above where Solo is, and she mentioned the two bodies outside the vault were a lot more recently deceased than the others that she had seen. Plus the threatening message on the wall outside the vault seems to suggest people were trying to get into the vault for some time. There have been several camera shots that also hinted that someone was watching Juliette and Solo. Hopefully we will see who it is next week. I'm guessing that at least a week or more has passed since episode 6. No way Lukas has been able to eliminate all the books in that library in a couple of days. Same in mechanical, collecting scraps of paper, writing all the pr notes and then building a rocket to send them up top had to take a good deal of time. The Judge Meadows and Salvador Quinn message story arc is not in the book. For me it is a really good addition to the series. I'm hoping it reveals a peek at what happens in the second book of the trilogy. Gotta wait though.
1. If there is another person how are they getting food? The only food we’ve been made aware of is in the vault. There has been camera work over the past episodes to indicate there is someone in Silo 17 watching Solo and Juliette. Wizard of Oz the Emerald City being run by “the man behind the curtain” a charlatan who gets outta there in the hot air balloon, before the angry crowd goes after him.
@@Ets638 yeah i can see why they would allow that book into the Silo though. a tale of someone who thought home was not the place to be and wanted to see the world , found their present situation not to their liking and tried to run away from home only to realize "there's no place like home". the grass only appears greener on the other side.
one thing that is weird to me. the code to get into the vault is supposed to be 6 digits iirc and Solo only enters 4 on his door keypad but (and I paid attention this week) Bernard pressed 6. We see on the blackboard they had been trying 6 digit codes. So it appears that the head of I. T. can change the code. And change it to an easier to remember 4 digit code from a 6. Something a kid might do. And even then (he seems to remember all sorts of stuff no problem) he had a problem with those 4 digits so i suspect he changes it often maybe. That suggests he's in a constant state of fear of them cracking it. Also if they have a memory altering drug/gas who is to say how many rebellions were averted or stopped and then forgotten. Between that and the intentional withholding of facts inside entire societies our unreliable narrator perspective looms large.
I think Solo was stashed in the vault by his Dad and has spent 30 years learning from the Legacy. The water is to hide a hidden tunnel for secret soldiers to attack from a controller silo
