I was saying the same thing. Homelander is trying to be a good dad. He's doing all the right things. But he's twisted, so the lessons are wrong. I think the tumor is communicating with butcher. I think thats becca. I think joe is a creation of butchers own mind. Thats why becca is trying to keep him alive, and joe is trying to put him in danger.

The phrase you were looking for is pretty close to what you said - “Breaking generational trauma” or “breaking the cycle of generational trauma”. Sometimes people also use “healing” instead of “breaking”. This type of phrasing has become popular in recent years so I immediately realized what you meant. Otherwise, another commenter mentioned Kessler. Something was odd about how disconnected Kessler’s interactions were, but it was only till another TH-camr mentioned that Kessler probably never survived the story about Butcher saving him, that it clicked he’s probably a figment. But then, we already have another dead person talking to Butcher too - Becca. So it’s almost like that trope of having an angel on one shoulder and a demon on another, both whispering to you to feed your better or worse impulses. I do think both of these voices are caused by the tumor but wouldn’t it be strange if only one of them represents the tumor? It’s odd, it’s almost like there’s a battle for butcher’s soul (metaphorically) going on inside and that’s not decided yet. I wonder if this symbiote hasn’t fully formed its identity yet or it ends up being a reflection of Butcher’s cumulative choices. Or maybe the symbiote is just Kessler and Becca is Butcher’s conscience trying to pull him back. I’m certainly interested in where it leads though. Edit: Oh I see you got to the same idea by the end of the video! My bad, I only had a few mins left and thought we were past that. Glad to see others talking about that possibility! Just wondering if it connects with the tumor now.

I found this interesting. Small suggestion; add in screencaps from scenes you're discussing or when you mention another IP, maybe drop the poster in, like when you mentioned Fight Club. Just a thought since your wide shot has space in the center for a reference.

The Star Wars did ”borrow” a lot of stuff from Dune… But yeah… Dune is more grey compared to black and white SW… And Chani is much better in movie than in the books! More realistic! So a good change compared to the book. Stilgar change in books believer and byrocrat in Messiah and Children of Dune so the timeline are also different in many other ways also! Freyth Rautha is somewhat combination of Book count Fenring and Freyth Rautha and that also is good change. He is more dangerous and closer to Paul in many ways lacking just bene gesserit training that did give Paul the edge!

There's like eight different types there's just not a lot been shown but there's a farmer, as well as a caretaker and then yeah there's Mr gutsy nurse handy Mr handy but really they're all just the same robot program for different purposes what different parts I believe that they were marketed as extremely versatile and can perform any task correct?

First, thank you and God bless you guys for your service. Next, I enjoyed your takes very much, especially the insight about the true weapon audio. I’ve watched dozens of reviews of this film and that’s the first time I’ve heard that mentioned. One thing I find very compelling is the fact that the reviews have ranged from “masterpiece” to “pile-o-feces”. I believe most reviews ironically are flavored by the internal biases and expectations of the reviewers. Full disclosure, that goes for me as well. When I saw the first trailer I thought it looked so stupid, CA and TX allied!?! Riiiiiight. But, after being talked into seeing it by my son and a friend, I realized where that creative choice comes from and think most are overthinking it. I believe it is a deliberate tool designed to strengthen the apolitical nature of the narrative. Also, I’m with the gent on the right (can’t very well say the guy with the beard, or cap, or black shirt 😂 so I’ll just say the vaper). I don’t see Offerman as Trump. It might be, it might not. It’s not a given either way, and I respect that. Those who have said it was trump have definitely brought their own preconceived assumptions into that interpretation. I think preconceptions have affected all undefined details in this film, the way people respond. Not since “The Last Temptation of Christ” Have I seen such polarized opinions. That tells me the filmmaker did something right. The film has its flaws, but I’ll just chalk that up to things you must agree to accept to move on with the appreciation of the film (why no WH bunker? Why an old school film camera?, just a few, there are more). But at the film’s end, I needed to just sit for a while and think about what I had just watched. So I saw it a second time, bringing my adult kids along. My daughter was quite shaken up. I liked it very, very much. It hasn’t left my mind for a week.
