New PGR player REACTS to Boss Fights (Unidentified Twins & Hamlet)| Punishing Gray Raven

- So I have decided to try playing PGR for the first time and to prepare myself I thought it was a good idea to check out some gameplay to see what it is like as I have heard this game is TOUGH! The boss fights we watch are "The Unidentified Twins" & "Hamlet" which are both INSANE! If you enjoyed this don't forget to like and subscribe!

I really like the character and the move set of pgr but the input button is just not my fav.
I am literally scared of Vergil....when she uses her burst she opens her eyes ...thats scared shit out of me ....when using her first'
The counter going down in the top right is your GACHA CURRENCY being taken by the boss.
It doesn't actually take it away, just a 4th wall break prank in the fight
Imagine if a gacha game actually did that during a boss fight, until you beat the boss, sounds like a true nightmare

Imagine a high risk mode where you can possibly double your gacha currency if you beat a boss, but also risk losing all your gacha currency if you lose the fight.
Of course, the characters you would be using to fight should be standardized so that one player doesn't get an advantage over others.
As a veteran of pgr seeing many old faces disappear after crimson abyss and plume first even banner, Im glad to see many new faces comes in with their expression of the game.

Welcome to PGR, New Commandant! :And yeah, these two and units are merely a taste of what PGR has to offer.
The bosses in PGR from this point forward gets even crazier and more visually engaging as the updates keeps coming. All the more reason to get hyped for the PC client of this underrated game.
So I'm not fully caught up with content myself as I've been busy gearing up constructs, but the later fights get insane. Also yes some fights have phases not all though. Lastly something not shown in either video is that PGR has a special system that I love. The game has a parry system for some fights and if you fight certain bosses with specific characters theres actually unique parry animations and its just *chefs kiss*.
the twins has a parry mechanic, what do you mean? at 4:20 you can clearly hear the parry sound

the fact that the bosses locks u up in time slow is gonna make them really painful to fight. TIming is indeed key
tbh getting exposed to the hardest bosses already will make you feel unfazed to every other boss now because of this, lol
The Twins were a pair of new bosses that were released with the main intention of the devs to scale down the players, lol, their mechanic is that they can put you in "Matrix" (kinda works like Honkai's "Time Fracture") that you also use, so it's literally you trying to put them in your "Matrix" yet they will avoid it by putting you in their "Matrix" in which you can also counter by exactly dodging their attacks in their "Matrix" (slowed time).
Hamlet is a permanent boss in the new mode "Recitativo di Fantasia" with the release of the new Construct "Selena" which is the second one. This is the first boss that messes with you by taking away all your screen keys and literally I've struggled to get past him, lol
and as always, I'm excited to see a new player join a new game, lol, have fun playing!

Selena was actually a free S-rank charatcer through the event shop. The character in the first fight is a new frame for an already existing character that has not been released to the global version of the game yet.
Is she still obtainable for free outside the event

@@trendmadegamer8725 I looked back at the game mode the event introduced, and it looks like the shop is still there, so she's probably still available once you unlock it.
The event to get Selena is permanent.
I love how Alpha being Motivated is the standards for anyone discovering PGR gameplay, even for people that came in around launch like me had the same experience. And yeah, Alpha definitely is the reason I picked the game up.
Vergil is literally called The Alpha and The Omega in DMC5 and then we get Alpha for PGR?

Actually "Bury the light" being used for Alpha is a reference for her similarities to Vergil as the quickest katana user

I'm not completely sure so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe some of the abilities Alpha has in the first fight are features in a version that is currently only released in China (but is coming to the international release very soon)...

There are a lot of bosses with multiple phases, and that is not a bad thing, since most of them are awesome experiences. You should also check a full Lamia boss run, probably my favorite of the game so far (despite not being as flashy as the Twins).
And don't fret much about the hp bars, those increase with the difficulty chosen.
Lastly, welcome aboard Commander Georgie. PGR is awesome.
what you mean with difficulty chosen? i play pgr daily since launch and there is no such thing as choosing a difficulty well except for pain cage anyway
@@MrBentalton777 hmm… pain cage (standard and ultimate), babel, co-op, high ranking floor 8+ war zones? Just because i said that, it doesn’t have to apply to every boss in the game.

@@futanahriadventures no one cares about coop and i already mentioned pain cage also i doubt she would do the extreme difficult content such as babel tower as for the main game there are 0 difficulties its just 1 difficulty so the hp she saw and was mildly concerned about is nothing to do with the hardcore modes. also pain cage does not appear to even do anything for the hp or damage its just harder to get the score req for its rewards. just based on the what ive seen she does not seem like the type of player interested in the hardcore stuff and pain cage and warzone are both super easy for a casual player to get the important rewards aka black cards. but even then alot of casual players dont do those so again has nothing at all to do with her concerns

dude, not only hamlet can confuse your ui, he can also steal your BC (in game currency, used for gacha) as well.. really the best boss I've fight so far HAHAHAHAHAHA.

this s-rank lightning version of alpha hasn't come out to the global version of pgr just yet but I'm sure as hell waiting for her. same goes for fate bianka and fire lee.
iirc honkai started getting really generous around the same time when cn pgr got announced/revealed. now I'm wondering if the same thing happens to genshin when wuthering waves comes out. although I'm more skeptical of that happening since genshin blew up way too big.
Rexlent is also a really good pgr player that you should check out he does boss fights with 0 hits taken or perfect parries
Personally, Lamia was my favorite PGR boss fight
yeah i dont play PGR anymore but I still remember seeing the Rexlent fight with Lamia and that shit always looked so cool.

Welcome to PGR, pgr easily has some of the best boss's fights for a mobile game no less, def up there with honkai and other giants

as you can see, like in honkai, there is "time-fracture" witch is called Matrix, bosses in general got 100x hp bars [if 2 staged they got 200x] and this boss in particular CAN use Matrix on you and you need to prefect dodeg to reverse-matrix them back-to-back [it can be hard since you are also matrix locked and a side note but you will see it when you play, dodge has a gauge so you need to also manage your "stamina" or else if you run out, you can't dodge and there when you get combod to oblivion by the boss - also check out Lee hyperreal vs uneathly projection by Rexlent, that bos is SICK and Lee as well]
Should probably explain some things now that you've seen gameplay.
Basically characters each have three skill abilities, a red, blue and yellow skill, those things you see on the bottom right side, generally you want to use a skill when three of the same icon are next to each other (this is called a three ping). Also when you trigger a three ping if it's the right colour it will allow for an off field character to activate a skill
Aside from the three skills characters also have normal attacks and ultimates but the most important part of characters are the core passives, each core passive is pretty unique per character and where alot of the characters dmg comes from, the trigger for each core passive is different ranging from using a certain skill after another or holding down normal attack after a bar is filled.
Aside from those there is also the matrix dodge(the cool slo mo after a perfect dodge) this has a cool down and whenever it's triggered it allows for a single or skill to take the effect of a three ping, it also slows down all the enemies for a brief period of time.
In these videos they only use one character but in actual gameplay you'll play in teams of three characters typically all of them are the same element type(fire, ice, lightning, dark and physical are the dmg types) also there are 5 classes, attacker, tank, support, amplifier and Vanguard, typically teams will consist of a attacker, tank and support or amplifier.
Thats the most basic stuff to know about the gameplay, there is more such as cubs( basically pets) but it's not necessary info, anyway hope you have fun playing pgr, the story is really good but it's got a slow start and doesn't really get going until around after chapter 8.
You should do reactions on the characters' move-set videos too. They're really amazing.

These Blanc and Rexlent videos are very tricky for new people hahaha I love how people think they can recreate them. That's not for us mere mortals. We all get our asses kicked quickly or stumble a lot before we the kill (if even). XD

Literally They have 5 Lucia now well we have "Lucia Lotus, Lucia Dawn, Lucia Plume, Lucia Crimson Abyss (Alpha Physical), Lucia Crimson Waver (Alpha Lightning)"

u can adjust the bgm and sound effects on the settings...so yeah everything is customizable even every button on ur screen... also there are a lot more sick boss fights in the game, each with their own gimmicks and stuff

Oh and about the healthbar thing? Depends on the boss on a sad day it has less than 80 iirc correct me if I'm wrong.... but on a good day it has 99 health bars.. hope Wuthering will do the same.. esp with the crownless❤️ that way skill issue filter❤️❤️
Character in the first video isnt in the game yet in global servers. But its other frame crimson abyss is cool too. It would be a better experience watching alphas perfect parry video for expectations.

If you want to fight the twins someday, your gonna have to grind to chapter 14-15, by power scale they are the strongest boss in the game because of how they are the first enemy that can use the Matrix on you (A skill that every character has in the game). It's the time slowing thing you see most of the video

Don't worry after a few months of playing you'll have a fully built team that can melt the bosses health (unless you wanna do solo runs with one character like Lucia Crimson Weave).
Selena is a free S rank character too so you can grind for her anytime btw

people do not be fooled by the easiness of the bosses. the player is just really good lol. if u get hit once u get long stunlocked and only have a limited amount of dodging u can do. doesnt matter how good your gear is either if u cant play right lol

The twins can stop time and even than Alpha is still faster. She is so goddamn broken.
not stop the time, but slowing down your movement character or we called "Matrix", normally if our character is able to do perfect dodge from enemy's attack than it would trigger the Matrix for seconds but the twin also can trigger matrix when we counter their attack, it called "matrix battle", it need precise timing for press dodge button when their attack is coming when under their matrix effect.
Only Lee Hyperreal that can ignore their matrix effect
Beginning fights aren't really difficult and story mode bosses aren't that difficult as well.
It's the bosses they put in endgame content that will test your mental.
It's not really difficult,but I doubt you get hit many times 😂

its INSANE! I think where I am currently I have seen 1x 100 health bar but I didnt need to do the whole fight and a couple 30 bars...so this is gonna be scary xD
16 health bars?what that? More like 100 health bars for this boss(story boss to be precise). They won't give them that much health in difficult content(or the boss fight will be impossible to beat even for whales)
