    The Willow has been hands down the best pump I’ve ever had! With previous pumps (like the Medela pump in style advanced), it used to take me a FULL hour to pump enough milk, and I had to do all these tricks like carrying a onesie that smelled like my baby, looking at pictures, and playing calming music. Now, with this new baby, the Willow has changed my life! I pump in about 8-11 minutes. I can pump anywhere and I have a huge stash already at 2 months postpartum.
    I do think it’s loud, but apparently it’s loud to me because my husband says he only really hears when it whooshes to transfer milk into the container/bags. He says he really can only hear the sucking when he’s really close to me and it’s quiet.
    My only learning curve was the flip to finish, but now it’s easy for me. The two ongoing issues I still have are (1) knowing how to pinch the bags to get them to do that wrinkle thing since my fingers just slip over it and (2) air in the bags. I would love if I could pump into the bags without them getting air so I could just pop them in the freezer without any additional work. Tips welcome!

    Hi thanks for the video we recently got this pump the one problem we’re having with it is the milk is pooling up in the flange tunnel where the nipple sits and not being sucked into the milk bag its happening on both , any ideas? Thanks again.

      Look up the flip to finish method. :) I haven't got this pump yet but I am going to!

      Yes, flip to finish is the best thing to do!

      The same thing is happening to me and I’m so frustrated. On my spectra I would pump 5-8 oz each time and on the willow im getting 2! And the majority of it isn’t even in the bag or container. I feel like so much milk is being wasted as well. 😔

      Yea this isn’t a flip to finish problem, it’s a pumping problem. I get a full flange and it won’t empty while pumping into the bag and it’s soooo frustrating

    My second attempt and am already frustrated!!!! Using the reusable container and they are leaking, not emptying my breasts and air in the container giving me wrong volume in the app grrrrr so frustrating

    Too much going on with new baby to add spending hours on learning how to use a very expensive pump, very frustrating .

    Is this pump worth it?

    • @TheBreastfeedingMama
      @TheBreastfeedingMama  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it can be worth it - it all depends on what you want it. I don't think it's ideal for a primary pump or for establishing milk supply. However, I think it's great for people who need to pump but also need/want to be hand free (such as those in teaching or medical professions)

      My girl friend is a cashier and works 6 to 8 hours five days out of the week. And so we're contemplating in buying one while she is at work so she can do both. Would it be worth it for that much? My daughter is healthy from the milk she gets from her mother.

      @@dragonbulley i bought this because it’s “silent pumping” because i work with customers & didn’t want to feel guilty of always having to leave to pump. bullshit, it’s fucking loud. i sound like a printer & my boss says it reminds her of a cow eating 😂 i still love it because it’s useful but i hate that about it. & i always seem to lose some milk droplets 💧
