    I used to drive and operate a gorgeous Vantare H3-45, just like yours, but we towed a Hummer H2. One of the things I enjoyed the most was using the "transmission retarder" when driving in heavy traffic or in the city. Please show your viewers how it works, especially how you can slow down in stages and come to a dead stop with just a tap of the brakes. It was especially useful driving through the mountains; I rarely used the breaks. It might also be cool to show everyone all the buttons, especially the function of the "rabbit" button. One more thing. The acceleration! Talk about a sleeper. No one can imagine how fast the bus can get up to speed. It was like a wolf in sheep's clothing. I love your show! It brings back memories from the early 2000s, driving from Kansas City west to Colorado and throughout the east coast up to Rhode Island and beyond. Once, we took the bus on a ferry from Groton to Orient Pointe and onto the Hamptons for a two-week vacation. The only modification we had to make was folding the mirrors in so we could fit the bus onto the ferry. And if you ever get up this way (KC), let me know so I can show my friends how big it really is... They have no idea of the size of the bus. It's an adventure I'll never forget!

      It really depends on a lot of things. Market, year, model, converter as well as how well it was kept up. I like the '99-'06 range because that is when the engine wasn't hindered by all the smog restrictions. They are really, knock on wood, bullet proof. Mine could expect 175-225.....

    My wife and I got our XL in 2016. When we purchased our coach, we looked on TH-cam to see if any information could be found. The only thing we found was Prevost community. Four days ago I was searching TH-cam and found your channel. I have watched for four days enthusiastically from start to finish. Two thoughts.
    1. Your editing has got so much better.
    2. When you first started the wiring my first thought was OMG!!! In not a good way.
    At the end of this series, my thought was this coach turned out so much better than what American coach did. Great job keep up the good work.

    Very nice rig. We are doing a trip to Florida in a few weeks.
    I am completely spoiled when it comes to my storage. It has a mini dog park near the dump station. There is a drive-though rv wash for the salt. A bathroom, dumpster, vacuum and air station if I need it. I then park inside a private heated 15x48 garage with two separate-circuit 20-amp outlets. No winterizing needed. It’s in my town, so I can bike there. The RV mechanic is a 5-minute walk across the field too😅
    $642 a month and a 110 person waiting list from as far as two states over.
    I am lucky.

    Good times, only way to travel!!! If you do much game day tailgating, there is a product made by camco rvproducts I think, it is called the gen-turi generator exhaust system. It runs about a hundred bucks and breaks down to store in storage bins. It will exhaust your generator above your coach for when your I'm tight places with your neighbors. No exhaust fumes down low, check it out online! Love the videos and can't wait to see your solar package!!

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the tip! I think I saw one at Oshkosh but thought it was a one off. Will look into it! If the solar works, the generator will be used even less - I really only use it now to keep it from sitting. But, haven’t gone more than a day or so on batteries - so the alternator charges it back. If I use the battery any longer will have to see how the solar does. I think I really need twice as much - to run my load and charge the batteries from the night before - will see though. I couldn’t get any more CIGS on the roof with the (4) rooftops and didn’t want to build a solar rack on top - cross your fingers!

With a 150 gallons fresh water you can wash in a Walmart parking lot or even at the campground. even if they don't allow washing I just use the freshwater tank then fill up before I leave! I have also used a product called Rinse All made by Quality Chemical Corp. when I can find it and if I cant I have used Jet Dry just like you put in your household dishwasher. Looking at a 3 stage Envig Car shine DI system available on Amazon for $160 it has a by pass valve so you can wash with tap water and only rinse with DI saving on the filter media. With the Headhunter Mach V water pump its a breeze but I usually stop at a parking lot before arriving at the campground though so I don't make a wet mess on the camp site!!!

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The easiest way is that it was 2,250 miles - at 6.5mpg that’s 346 gallons - at $3.85 average - that’s $1,332. I was half way between 1/4 and 1/2 when I started and now am at over 3/4 tank - it’s 235 gallon tank so the above math is probably closer vs what I spent. I learned early on there is no monitory justification- just buying memories and don’t look back 🤪. My wife wont fly, so beats cramming everything into my F150 with two dogs.
