Hey guys, as usual, love the video. Now, do I believe RV assembly companies listen to their customers? I would say most don't but there "may" be a few exceptions but generally, I do not believe this is the case. They, like Grand Design does not listen to customers when they have major issues with their RV (frame failure) so why should they listen to them about needed changes. More customers need to start learning and ask about the structure before the interior items. The RV industry in Indiana itself has failed the RV community and you can only put lipstick on a pig so long before people decide to turn it into bacon. Pete

IDK. My parents and grandfather live half time in their camper bought during COVID. So they're using it at least 15-20 days per month. And they love the quality and reliability of everything so far. They've only had to have maybe one repair in like 3 years and it was a plug n play type of repair. I'm planning on living full time rv soon and I'm gonna buy the same one they have.
It was just a matter of time where the RV industry would respond negatively to the growing Liz Armstrong's "buy back this shoddy RV! " community. Build them cheaper and lighter and classify them in a legal way that travel stress on cheap Lippert Component Frames and BAL Accu-Slides is a tort dead end. I do appreciate they are making doors wider to allow RV owners replace their appliances without removing a slide or disassembling the refrigerator/freezer, which is usually a dealership price gouging experience. You are excited about these cheap and ugly boxes with a lot of lipstick, but I am sad that quality has drained from more and more RV manufacturer business models.
Geez. Less is definitely more for this day and age. These companies need to focus on employee and customer retention; and service. Folks are loyal if they’re treated right, and quality is at an all time low. Manufacturers don’t get it. A/C’s need to be two things…cold and quiet. No one cares about oscillating vents…cold and quiet.
Perhaps they are turning a corrner and not building too much junk to simply meet demand. With homes being so expensive, these moveable homes made by a RV company are good little homes but perhaps not meant to drive all over the country but just be settled down on a piece of land somewhere for awhile. The sticks and bricks home prices are so out of whack with reality. I.e. due to Airbnb's using up housing stock and real estate agents helping to drive up home prices so they can make decent profit on the sale of a home
you have to be rich and stupid to buy any of these unless you own property with electrical hookups and septic tanks with these newer laws in place. Look up the 3 biggest mistake you regret buying in life. The smarter folks are buying smaller 20-25 ft class B and Cs models with induction appliances, solar, 2 alternators and lithium batteries, winterized with duel pane windows with inner water and sewer lines.
They are definitely living in these vs paying $2500 and up rent on a shi@ apartment, trust me ..a house rent is approx $3000 to $5000 a month! A $86k RV like the FR Roost43 with a 15 yr loan Is $700a month, someone can buy a 2 acre lot in NH, Maine, ECT for $20k and those wonderful states still allow living on your land with anything you have, unlike CT, MA, NY....my husband and i are going to live 7 or 8 months in maine then travel south in a small RV for 4 months, sooo much less then paying the horrific rents people are charging or mortgages for a $500k house
First off, nothing should be built in Elkhart. It's bad that one industry comes from the same place. That aside, we knowingly sold our house after buying it new and living in it for 6 years to live in our new 5th wheel full time stationary because it's a better fit. With that being said, the industry needs to change the name from RVs or Recreation Vehicles. It's obvious that as more people live in them it's not for recreational reasons. The word Recreation gets in the way of reasonable loans, insurance and more. The industry is involving based on people's needs. RVs are somthing of the past.
Hate this. They've already made it so you can't buy a truck. By focusing on higher end vehicles with lots of bells and whistles, you can't afford or work on your own vehicle anymore. Doing the same thing with RV will price so many people out of the market.
You would be a fool to buy a RV. To many problems. Always get a Real RV Inspector if you buy one. Want something that is well made and hold their value? Look at Fiberglass Campers that are made for you. Big Foot, Escape, Oliver, Casita and others.
Can I get the side patio on one of Forest River’s destination fifth wheel aftermarket? I just purchased the Roost 43 which has the absolute best layout. But I’ve hit a wall looking for outdoor living space ie deck.
I'd love to know YOUR thoughts on these new designs in the comments!
Instead of spending the money those companies put into the "newest trends", they should be trying to improve the QUALITY of their rv's. Just sayin'.

Those destination trailers are horrible looking and glad they stay in trailer parks more than campgrounds
I do not want a slide. I would rather have an 8' 6" wide unit. Less maintenance, less set up time and fewer things to go wrong.
you have to be rich and stupid to buy any of these unless you own property with electrical hookups and septic tanks with these newer laws in place.
@@brentross9233 there’s still plenty of stuff of all sizes. It’s just a lot of the new stuff is big.
👍
You would be a fool to buy a RV. To many problems. Always get a Real RV Inspector if you buy one. Want something that is well made and hold their value? Look at Fiberglass Campers that are made for you. Big Foot, Escape, Oliver, Casita and others.

6 min and no facts 🤦🏻♂️
Can I get the side patio on one of Forest River’s destination fifth wheel aftermarket?
I just purchased the Roost 43 which has the absolute best layout. But I’ve hit a wall looking for outdoor living space ie deck.
