That took a wild turn! This came up on auto play for me also so I didn't read the description or anything. I hope you have a speedy and uneventful recovery.
This happened to me at Chicago last year, came back and ran it this year. Also since getting my metal in my leg (a year ago today!) I’ve ran 2 50 milers and almost 2,000 miles for the year. YOU GOT THIS❤
Being tall makes you easier to spot in the crowds! I can't imagine not being able to finish something you trained so hard for! That really sucks but at least you know you had the fitness to finish. Hopefully, the injury is quick to heal!
Wish this hadn’t happened to you! I wish you a speedy recovery. You will complete the marathon, for sure! From a fellow runner who also ran Chicago on 10/13.
What was your freak accident that caused you to fracture your hip? I do CT for a living in Michigan and am curious where you fractured it that caused you to need a replacement?
No replacement just plates/screws! There was no specific accident, they think i had a stress fracture that just kept splintering over training and this was the last straw
Was this your first marathon? I DNF my first then later that year went to CHI and redeemed myself, been back 2 more times to CHI and was better each time. You will be back too
this is the first vlog ive seen from you, it was in my recommended lmao but omg how did this happen did you stack it on the course? i hope youre doing better!
Heyyy welcome!! I’m glad it was recommended 😊 it honestly was random we’re still trying to figure out why/how it happened- i didn’t fall or anything. Thank you i am:) had surgery and on the mend
you will not believe it, Inhad exactly the same like you on the same day in Chicago😂 Also surgery when back in Germany, because they didnt saw it in the US. And they told they haven‘t seen it in my Age😂😂 44
Youre amazing!!!! I hope you heal and recover soon!!! xoxo
Thank you so much!!

@@rangermovlogsHey, did you have any symptoms prior to this? How did your hip feel during training? I have an ongoing hip issue.
@@itsahardmuttlife9263hey! No symptoms, hips were tight but just felt like general soreness during training.
