Mikey Havoc, singer, was my record dealer in the late 80s in Auckland City, New Zealand. Bought so many awesome metal vinyls and cassettes back then. Best little underground music store.
In an era I was rocking out to Ugly Kid Joe, Guns and Roses, Metallica, AC/DC, Mortification et al this band was played Saturday mornings for about 6 weeks on Australian RAGE. I really liked it but never caught the bands name or heard the song again. October 2021 I finally found it again. It is exactly as bad as I remembered it and I love it.
I was at lakes high school in Rotorua when the girls signed a petition for push push to come and play at the school. we won... or lost, depending on who you talk to... it was still fun to go to tho lol

I saw these guys live at the Wingatui Race Course (Mosgiel, Dunedin) back in the early 90's and they were awesome!! Had that real G'n'R vibe going on, Agree totally with acidspoodie's call about Slash doing a cover of this!

I think the singer might nearly have been involved in a fatal car accident in Adelaide in 1992. The rumours flying around were the singer requested to get of the car, sensing things were not right, which happened. The car would crash shortly after. It's a rumour, but it's one that's intrigued me as the guy who passed from the tragedy was a neighbour years before.

Is it just an urban myth that HMV Queen Street got banned from being a "chart store" (one of the shops that sent in their sales numbers each week to the people that compiled the top 20) because Mikey and work mates falsified the numbers Trippin' sold???
Looking at it now. It's catchy and repetitive but not particularly well performed or recorded...but it was a big deal back then because most NZ music was just god awful (most). Back then NZ studios never really knew how to record drums right...but...massive props to the drummer for wearing a Nirvana t-shirt because this was pre Nevermind/teen spirit (just). Anyone who discovered the Bleach album and represented Nirvana before they went huge is a legend in my book.
I met andy kane in sydney in 1996....after push push had disbanded cos mikey walked out on them.....he reckoned I was the only person whod recognised him....maybe cos it was oz
