Just got my Kraken install on my 22' Robalo with Garmin electronics. Did I say ouch$, but looks like a cry once thing? I had an Ultera and the auto deploy was a Problem, also it didn't integrate with Gamin, so was missing important goodies. This motor took a bit to become familiar with, like calibrating the remote control etc. What I like, speed, quiet, smooth and rock-solid adjustable anchor/spot lock. These are the fundamentals for me. Gesture Control seemed gimmicky, but I quickly learned it's a BFD. It's also used in heading mode and anchor lock mode, goes 5' in point direction and locks. Has anchor lock button and more on motor, so bow man can anchor lock when they deploy motor from bow. REMOTE CONTROL is next level too, with tons of useful info and it floats. Cons: price and no batteries for remote? Also why are white motors so much more than black motors, which come with transducers? It's about $400 more when u buy a white motor and separate transducer, I guess it's the paint?
2 Questions How do you like that cable management on your old Terrova ? And how do you like the Kraken compared to the Terrova now ? I’m thinking seriously about switching myself. Thanks 👍👍
Cable management on the terrova is no existent from the factory. Cornfield has a couple of solutions that are decent but ok spot lock can still get wound up around the shaft. Purely for that fact the kraken is much better. Much better built too. If you are in the market give me a shout, I’d be happy to help
@MGMarineTech Sounds like a great new addition. I run a Ulterra right now and with the Gen2 motor I haven't had any deploy/stow issues but want to get Livescope. I'm also not sure of the gauge wire that Ranger runs for TM wiring. Really good possibility I contact you when I go to purchase. I'm in Illinois. Thanks
@@glenndaugherity6187 Sounds good! yes definately make sure the wiring is upto the task. If not, it shouldn't be too big of a job to replace. If you need it installed, im not to far from Illinois either.
I have a impact 1875. My current terrova is a 72” and even when it’s fully deployed in heavy wind/waves the prop will still come out of the water. The 72 terrova and 75 kraken are almost identical. I have 63” krakens in stock! No tax outside of Michigan and free shipping, I’d be happy to help!
Looks like a great addition to the Garmin network, thanks for sharing

Being heavier than most trolling motors how heavy is the kraken to stow and deploy ?
I'm looking forward to seeing if the bolt pattern matches the Minn Kota...
I’ll keep you posted on that! Install video is next followed by lvs34 install
It does
That reverse rotation should be nice
Brian did you use the quick release bracket ? And 63” shaft on your ProV@@KansasAnglingExperience

I assume the quick release plate is sold separately ?
@@BrettCrowther that’s correct, if in the market, I’ll make you a bundle deal and even have 250$ of battery bundles too
Will you be doing a video of it on the water? I have one ordered my quick release plate beat it here.
I definitely will be! Should have ordered from MGMarinetech.com I have them in stock!
Looking to switch my Terrova out also on my Lund Impact. Your went with the 75” shaft. 63” should work in my boat. Curious on your boat model

So 63 kraken is equivalent to 60 terrova?
Part 2?
It’s in the works
