I’m glad I found this. Thanks ! I have old crestliner. I’ve got by with a hand tiller on the transom. That’s killing my back to use. I couldn’t believe the price of power dive minkota. Have you sued the food controller? I like the idea of using it anywhere on the boat. I plan on adding a casting deck this summer.
Bought one of these for my kayak and could of bought any motor I wanted. I guess because I don't like to waste money on always having to have the beast of the best. This is a very good motor for the price for the average weekend angler
Do you have any idea what the slow speed is in mph guesstimate, I have to cut the blades on my trolling motor to make it slow enough for crappie fishing for me. I mainly fish the banks of streams. Great job!
Thanks for watching. Not sure, but it’s super slow. I can get a speed on my next trip. When I first installed it and turned it on, I thought my battery was low because of how slow the blade was turning.
Is the display where the beeper is located a sealed unit or could it be taken apart and totally eliminate the speaker I wonder , either way I’ve been considering one of these units myself thanks for a great to the point video 👍
Thanks, man!!! I can check, but I believe it is a water-tight sealed/rubber gasket that can be taken apart. But honestly, after the tape, the beep is very light and not enough for me to try taking it apart. I've been telling everyone, don't sleep on this unit. They have several options to pick from. If you get one, let me know what unit you went with. Thanks for watching!!!
Can you tell me which maps do the use? Just google maps or something? Was wondering if i could use GPS on the water in The Netherlands. Hope you can help me out.
Hey bud, Thanks for watching. I use Google Earth on my PC when I'm planning a trip. It will allow me to roll back the time to see any changes to the area/waterway. While on the water I use an app called Fish Points. Its a subscription based app that provides tide predictions, fish activity, weather, and solunar (moon & sun).
@@JChaissonOutdoors okay. So you need another software/app to plan a gps guided trip along a reef or something? The helmman app doesn't gave it own mapping? I just am a little bit scared that they don'n Support like the water/maps in The Netherlands.
@JChaissonOutdoors i'm convinced, i've seen the pne with GPS on the 2nd market for a good price, so probably will go for this on. One more question, i got a simular boat, think including outboard motor about 150kg/330lbs any idea how fast the trolling motor is? Just wondering if i could use it for slow trolling on pike aswell.
@@ferryprive Not 100% on the speed. My boat is a 14/36 with a good bit of weight and it moves pretty well. I'll try to do a speed test the next time I'm out.
I like the video because im considering one of these but as someone who grew up on the river and fished and boated my whole life...i will never understand why yall dress like ninjas when you go outside...the sunlight will not hurt you:)...maybe it was cold that day for you but even in the summer time on my local lake...the younger people are still dressed like ninjas and i dont get it at all:)
Thanks for watching!!! It is a great trolling motor and I would buy another. I use it twice a week and still going strong. I dress like a ninja for the most part is because a family history of skin cancer. Just gives me a little peace of mind.
What the heck is this trend of fishing with fingerless gloves, who started this, Eskimos? Is it a trend handed down from ice fishing? Someone fill me in.
Just received my from Haswing direct. 619.99 with foot pedal, remote, and quick release. Putting it on my Cape Horn 16 center console. Hope it's as good as I think it is.
this has to be sponsored, this is hands down the worse Trolling motor I've used. Spot lock does not work, speed whilst on Northings is too fast. the foot control is absolute rubbish.
Hey bud, definitely not sponsored. I wish LOL. Sorry you didn’t have a good experience with this trolling motor. Mine does not have spot lock. I agree somewhat on the foot peddle, it is a little wonky. But I can honestly say, this 12v 55lbs is great. I have not had experience using others of the like but if I had to purchase again, I would get the same one for my style of fishing. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
The beeping is loud but after I muffled the alarm it was significantly better. The turning gears is what I thought was loud. After fishing with a friend with another brand, his was loud also. Thanks for watching and the feed back.
I just ordered the 24v 80lb gps so can focus on AT2 and just Fish. About half the price I was going to waste, Thanks for sharing.
That is awesome!!! Let me know how you like it.
Will do, game changer I'm sure.

The foot control works good. It’s a little bulky but has enough cord to move around the boat. It doesn’t need to be secured down.
Have you tried to take it apart and disconnect the speaker wire?
All that beeping would drive me crazy.
I thought about it. It’s sealed pretty well. After the tape it is definitely a lot better and less annoying.

Great video bud! I got the 45 min Kota hand held how’d you think this one would handle my 16’54 ?
Looking to get one like this one
I believe it would handle it pretty well. I only use the first three speeds and it handles my 14/36 great.
@@JChaissonOutdoors thank you buddy for that info.
Does it have an anchor option on this to keep you still?

Mincota co pilate, to put on most troll motors is like 150 bucks.
Never seen them in operation. Have you tried them? They seem decent.

Not sure if they have a cut-down version. If not, I'm sure you can cut down the shaft. I'm thinking about cutting my shaft down.
