Steve is probably my favorite AliEx reviewer, definitely top 2 or 3. I still scour the comments of other videos and Reddit since manufacturers are incentivized to scrutinize the free watches they send for review. It's possible the pieces we see on TH-cam are exceptional examples which don't represent the overall production.
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO
I think it’s a terrific watch for the money, and I’m glad it exists for those who can’t or won’t spend more on a watch. But for me, this (along with Pagani and Cadisen) are just not quite good enough for me. I think that’s why Watchdives is doing well. They’ve taken Pagani/Cadisen level watches, improved them and are selling them for a little more money. Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for reviewing, I've looked at these and as you say the renders can be very misleading. I did look very good on the strap, I'm almost tempted to buy it and bin the bracelet 🤔
I do like this one and was considering this until you pointed out its flaws. These are enough for me to give it a miss and wait for a version two. By the way, other reviewers did not mention these flaws. The Tag Monaco looks nice and will be considering that one for the next sale.
At a (really) lower price, i'd get this for the hands, got many VH31 watches i'd like to swap'em... 😜 (although some Miyota movement ones match too LOL) Cheers Steve, be well mate.
@@EscapeWheel Sure. I do not like the Santos style screws on the bracelet, so leather is the way to go. But as you mentioned, it must be very thin to fit. Specht & Sohne (apart from an acceptable brand name) has a pretty correct finishing for the price level. Worth looking at their whole range.
@@EscapeWheel FYI received mine and big (good) surprise : the dial is white silver, and not flat white. From the pics and your review I thought is was a simple flat white. This leads me to say they update their models very quickly, so sometimes you may receive something you did not expect. Can be right, can be wrong. The lume is not bad on mine. On leather it now looks great. Excellent value for money, but indeed, you have to be very careful with which strap will fit. As expected, I do not like the steel bracelet look and finish, but this is me... And for the price, you can't expect a San Martin bracelet level.
@pixiesii-9933 which color did you order? I ordered the off-white so maybe that's why. Even still the off-white doesn't look like the renders on their site.
@@EscapeWheel Ordered the white, the off-white, almost cream, is not for me. So either it's an update, or a mistake from the seller, but as I have not seen the white/silver option anywhere, I doubt it's a mistake. Eventually, we're back to the fake pictures which make their watches look different than they actually are.
The hands look like Cloud's sword from Final Fantasy. The decorative screws on the bracelet don't line up on authentic Cartiers either. Side view is kind of meh to me, but probably a non factor when on wrist. I would have wanted a signed crown.

Nice watch. I think it should be around $50. I am looking for a small watch with a white dial. I am considering this one or the new Addiesdive AD2066.

That model was discontinued for legal reason.
