@janusofborg I would say villagers in general are quite horrible. But afaik that is not a Bedrock only annoyance, or could you elaborate how it's better in Java? Also, regularly replacing 24 tridents in a guardian farm is no picknick either... although I have to say it _seems_ that's become less of an issue since the last updates, but that could just be anecdotal
@@ChrisBreederveld It's better in Java because the station links to the closest villager. In bedrock its predetermined (haven't yet worked out how it is determined). Also, you don't get random villagers deciding they want to be a certain profession even if there's no job block nearby.
Nice! I modified your old design to look a bit like this, but it made the rates worse, I'm going to make some changes. Thanks for improving yet another of my farms. ETA: I highly appreciate that you create an entirely new video when you make an update, so we don't have to look at two videos to get things done. Also the addition of small new tips like the mob switch. Much appreciated!
I have build the old module for 1 side in my survival world. I also built both sides on my and my frends world. And got like 20 shulkker boxes of gun powder. I absolutaly love your'e work and have huge respect for you my brother and you keep me motivated in this game. Thank you.
Hey silent, tysm for all the goods I have a request: Make tutorials for spawner farms but not the ones that are available, like those you can only make in creative mode. Like a ghast spawner for example. I have a realm with my friends and I have the operator account in creative, so basically to reduce lag on the realm and world size, we usually make farms by spawners that come from the creative inventory, and the majority of the farms don't have any on/off option so we have to like destroy the spawner and set it up again each time. If you could do a tutorial explaining the mechanics for the spawners that aren't normally in the game and only obtained from creative inventory, that'll save so much frustration for us and so many others as I'm sure that, in a game with endless possibilities, there are infinite ways to play each having infinite players 😂
Yeah I mean this game doesn't have a right or wrong way to play, someone might like to play with cheats on, there's nothing wrong with that. No one can tell you how to play your single player game, everyone plays the way they enjoy

Your previous model was awesome (but slightly annoying because of the trident relog bug). This not only eliminates imo the greatest issue but also saves so many resources... and the small tip for spawnproofing whilst building is so cool!!

About the bug tridents falling out of the world you can just use a piston pushing the trident into a block it works no problem. I fix this this farm by my self since you took a bit to make this video but still interesting what i could have made differently and how i resigned the farm pretty much is to make it as cheap as possible but still keeping the efficiency up , my farm is pretty much like the old one you build but it only uses 18 trident’s which you probably can lower it to 8 tridents and still keep the efficiency up to max but i was happy what i had since i already had the thing because i built the farm before it broke but i like your farm and i like to see what i could have changed ❤️

@@silentwisperer Well I would use the original farm I built.. but that world is on a solid state hard drive that warped a bit and is now unusable. I still have the ghast and wither skeleton farm to build to be close to where I was before.

I have a question! Is the simulated chunk setting the one affecting the range of the build and how far I have to clear for there to be no mobs spawning outside the farm?
yes, higher sim distances allow mobs to spawn further away, and mobs dont despawn until they are further away. for sim 4 the spawning range is 24-44 blocks away. ideal for nether farms:)
This trident killer design just doesn't seem to want to work for me. Playing on Xbox1X. I throw the trident and it immediately slips down to the grindstone, whether tossing directly on the lower trap door or using the top trap door to align it. I log out and in and it doesn't fix the issue. When I do get it to hit the right spot (you can hear the difference in the sound), as soon as I walk a chunk or so away and come back it has already fallen. Yes my grindstone is feet down towards the bottom glass. I also notice a few of the mine carts on the upper platform are creeping forward in the C-shapes. I'm thinking of putting trap doors on the empty glass block in front but until I can figure out a fix for the trident killer...makes no sense to waste the time. Would love to hear any suggestions.
With this farm can any part of the farm be over land? I’ve been looking for hours for a good area but it’s one side of the chunk outline is hanging over part of the soul sand not the lava pool is that okay or do I need to look for another area?
Just spawn proof the whole area with slabs. The reason they make ghast farms over lava pools is because it’s one of the few nether farms that don’t require an ungodly amount of spawn proofing
Do you think I should rebuild this farm? I have a previous version, but it was just hell to build because I had to cover a large space with half blocks and blow up the ceiling a bit. And then I spent a long time fiddling with the murder cameras, where we had tridents.I don't know if it's worth returning to this hell?
sounds like you already put in all the work for a good farm in that area. most of the old farm can be re-used in this design (the platforms are at the same Y levels). This design doesn't have trident killer issues. So if you need gunpowder you could do it:) also, build a mob switch before upgrading.
Hey silent, please remake a new raid farm. The video you made about fixing your old one seems quite complicated and it would be great if you made a new tutorial from scratch.
Is there a good way to upgrade the already-built, old version of this farm? I'm mostly concerned about the killing chamber. In the old version, the tridents keep glitching out, which is a bit annoying - although, on the other hand, I don't feel like rebuilding the entire farm from scratch. :/
most of the old farm can be re-used in this build. all the spawn platforms are at the same Y level so you just need to move the minecarts and tear down the old kill chamber:) shouldn't be too hard, if you have a mob switch!
On the topic of ghasts, I fired up my ghast blaster the other day to discover all of the Ghasts blew up the snowmen. Is there a fix for your old ghast blaster or does it need to be completely remade?
ghast blaster are super unreliable in my experience sadly:/ i havent messed with the tech in a couple years, but theres a chance it needs an update. might just mark the video as broken though
depends on the world settings i think. if the owner forces you to use the packs on the realm, you cant join with custom resources. otherwise just put it on your client and join the realm, and you can use it:)
Most def, in fact I don’t see a limit to this other than simulation distance, for instance his world eater build can go on for hundreds and hundreds of blocks
So could I use this to capture a ghast and use it for a blast chamber for my future automatic tree farm? You're right, but my main goal in playing the game is to not have to play the game and still get stonks in everything. Tbf the bamboo farms will cover all of my wood needs afk as far as crafting goes, but I'll need building blocks. I'll block it and chop it if I can't get a ghast chamber to be somewhat consistent in a few days in the creative world.
Yh that happened to me they sometimes escape and after some time despawn had to make an obsidian afk platform reinforced from all directions with windows in front allowing me to see the farm for this reason
@suhailzabarah1854 I found that the minecarts on the top bar were become sometime non-rideable so the ghast eventually escapes so after a use of farm check top bar's minecarts if they become non-rideable then just break that minecart and replace it.
no, but it is simpler/cheaper and more reliable:) also the last one got nerfed a bit since they changed mob spawning, so the rates of that one aren't fully accurate anymore
@silentwisperer yeah, Im asking how do you spawn proof against Ghast. A mob switch could be an option, but I'd have to build multiple of them since there's no permanently loaded chunks in the nether, right?
@@halolover6893 You might consider altering the floor in your tunnel to use lower slabs. That will block ghast spawns. You just have to break up any 5x5 spacings with unspawnable blocks. Personally I make my floors at lower slab height.
@drabbacs Interesting. I was already doing that. I didn't know they still needed a full block under them. I unfortunately lost the world that i asked this question about. But this is still good info. It's possible that the ghast was spawning in parts I haven't nearly finished and floated to the slab area. Thank you for the info

Changed trident killer for one with piston pushing into block, now the trident doesn't glitch out however rates are a tad bit slower
the trident can still fall down on reload

Does anyone know if any XP farms work on a mushroom island?
no hostile mobs spawn on mushroom islands. if your using a mob spawner or oozing/infestation potions, those still work

Does anyone have a good method of blocking ghast spawns in your Nether tunnels? Aside from limiting the size of it?
you could spawn proof it, or build a mob switch
@silentwisperer yeah, Im asking how do you spawn proof against Ghast.
A mob switch could be an option, but I'd have to build multiple of them since there's no permanently loaded chunks in the nether, right?
@@halolover6893 You might consider altering the floor in your tunnel to use lower slabs. That will block ghast spawns. You just have to break up any 5x5 spacings with unspawnable blocks. Personally I make my floors at lower slab height.
@drabbacs Interesting. I was already doing that. I didn't know they still needed a full block under them. I unfortunately lost the world that i asked this question about. But this is still good info. It's possible that the ghast was spawning in parts I haven't nearly finished and floated to the slab area. Thank you for the info
