    Great review of the features. So jealous. We can’t get the new XGT here in the States yet. Looking forward to your vid on performance once your lock down is over. Stay healthy until then! Subbed!

    Thank you for making the first video on this topic... If I may ask, what does the label say where the machine is made?

    I really like your video, I would appreciate if you could show us more differences. How much does each weigh without the battery? Does the 40V cut faster than the 36 volt? The ergo seems different the handle is lower on the 40v, does this affect how you work any?

    That looks like a Makita 127512-9 dust bag, but what is the adapter you have in it, to make it fit the SP001?

    Awesome content mate! Do you have any idea why the 36v is still more expensive than the 40v ?

    • @mjp8415
      @mjp8415 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s because the 36v version your looking at comes with the AWS chip included (there’s a cheaper version that doesn’t have it) and the 40v saws are AWS capable but don’t actually come with the chip.

      "Awesome", gee you are so original. Another MORON just repeating this stupid ass over used word to show us all how hip you are using a word that was already old in 1982. What a dumb ass.

    Where did you buy it from? I can’t seem to find it anywhere in Oz.

    • @BantroBuilds
      @BantroBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I brought it from a local power tool shop here in Auckland. Maybe contact you local supplier and even if you haven’t seen it on the shelves chances are they can get it in for you easy. Goodluck !

    Hey mate you don't need a Bluetooth vac to use the Bluetooth function. You can buy a Bluetooth plug in cord that will plug into your corded vac.

    • @BantroBuilds
      @BantroBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Too right! Just posted a video on the Makita Bluetooth adapter on my Chanel. Far better option than buying a new vac. Do you have one yourself?

    • @tysonfoster7223
      @tysonfoster7223 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BantroBuilds hahah not gonna lie as I wrote this comment and the video finished, the aws adapter video you posted just came up.
      Na I don't have a the adapter or a good vac, but I done have that drop saw and I absolutely love it. Love most of the 40v stuff.

    • @BantroBuilds
      @BantroBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha classic. Pretty mint having their big m class vac. Cost a lot in itself so didn’t want o fork out more for another Bluetooth one. Adapter costed me $180.
      40v dropsaw is awesome aye. Have you seen they are selling a 260mm and 305mm saw aswell now?

    • @tysonfoster7223
      @tysonfoster7223 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BantroBuilds yea Im definitely buying a vac soon, every time I do work at home I spend atleast an hour cleaning the garage after working.
      Yea I knew about the 305mm but didn't know about the 255mm. Hahah I'm obsessed with tools
      Huge fan of makita tools too

    Saw looks great, I have the 40 v drop saw (great saw) and 18v makita tools, is it worth upgrading from the 2x18v track saw to the new 40v?

    • @BantroBuilds
      @BantroBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally I’m stoked I did. Love both versions. But being more compact and lighter is a big bonus to me. Run time to me is very similar on both. So the key thing from me to decide. Comes down to wether you are wanting to slowly upgrade fully onto the 40v platform or have mix and match.

  • @dannydee9919
    @dannydee9919 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Nice video! The 40 V is looking more attractive due to its compact design. It looks like it feels better egromomic wise.
    I was eyeing the 36 v and was planning on buying before then end of year. I was really trying not to start another battery platform but that 40 v is looking like more of the better buy. Damn.. hahah

    • @BantroBuilds
      @BantroBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers man! Yeah I agree. Both saws are awesome and both cut everything it’s made for the only difference for me is the compact design of the 40v. Otherwise I couldn’t choose one over the other. Would say if your on the 40v platform buy 40v if on the 18 buy the 36v !

      I had to move to 40V battery because of the 40V makita nailer, I literally retired my pneumatic nailer and compressor.

      The box it comes in is 392mm wide, 295mm long and 315mm deep.
      The skin with the 4amp battery is 215mm wide , 340mm long and 270mm tall. Let me know if you need anything else. Love the pack out awesome bit of kit!
