Haha yeah, I kinda did. I liked the idea of the smooth rocks right from the beginning but felt like something was missing the whole time. I wasn’t too sure about the arrangement and sizes of the rocks either but I think it turned out alright in the end. :)
HOOOW can you start so messy 😭😭. This is my issue, i'm getting scared when i see mess in the painting and i think i f d it up. But it's always paint over-able right? 😂😂
Of course :) especially in digital but I work similarly „messy“ in traditional, too. If you’re struggling to be more loose with your painting, I would recommend starting with a line drawing. It doesn’t have to be super detailed, just enough so you can lay in your colors without worrying to mess up the composition or initial sketch. I think it’s extremely important to start with big shapes. Start very rough, dynamic and full of energy because you will lose a lot of that initial energy throughout the painting process. Sometime ago I read a quote which I think is very true: „Nothing will stop you from being creative so effectively as the fear of making a mistake.“
@@nicolasklugart oh i totally agree with the quote and thank you for your kind insight. I m way too perfectionist, overthinking every little step and that cuts away soo much of the result i have in my head.
