It seemed weird to me too now that you mentioned it so I looked it up. It's a historic version of the flag used from 1606-1801. It was then changed by incorporating St Patrick's flag colors to it.
It's quite amusing that they put the British flag for the English accents and the Scottish flag for the Scottish accents. They could have just used the British flag for the Scottish accents, or if they were playing it that way then the English flag for the English accents.

The 'London' accent isn't a thing. Cockney is the accent for London. What the black woman speaks is Recieved Pronunciation (RP). RP isn't geographical so can be found anywhere in the UK. This is your stereotypical British accent. She has the female version of that guys RP.
yeah i visited london on a couple of weekend holidays, heard RP accents far less than tv would have indicated and the accents are much stronger than i was initially expecting too, the one that i heard most often was where a bunch of a syllables were changed to o syllables, like the word advanced changed to advonced.I have to say though, Londoners are super polite

The Midlands (specifically the Northants and Midlands countryside) accent is under appreciated. I think its because it has no interesting inflections or characteristics to it. But it's very clear and easy to interpret, without being too posh. And I think it's a nice accent anyways.

It's quite amusing that they put the British flag for the English accents and the Scottish flag for the Scottish accents. They could have just used the British flag for the Scottish accents, or if they were playing it that way then the English flag for the English accents.

The 'London' accent isn't a thing. Cockney is the accent for London. What the black woman speaks is Recieved Pronunciation (RP). RP isn't geographical so can be found anywhere in the UK. This is your stereotypical British accent. She has the female version of that guys RP.
Cockney is old East London, migrating to Essex lately.
I think the lass spoke a mix of RP and multicultural London, or Jafraican.

yeah i visited london on a couple of weekend holidays, heard RP accents far less than tv would have indicated and the accents are much stronger than i was initially expecting too, the one that i heard most often was where a bunch of a syllables were changed to o syllables, like the word advanced changed to advonced.I have to say though, Londoners are super polite

Hey all - unfortunately we are missing Welsh and Geordie accents. This is because this is filmed in Canada and not in England. It is almost impossible to find English people from certain regions here. The fact that I put this many accents in a 5 minute video is hard work enough, so let's take a second to appreciate that ;)

The Midlands (specifically the Northants and Midlands countryside) accent is under appreciated. I think its because it has no interesting inflections or characteristics to it. But it's very clear and easy to interpret, without being too posh. And I think it's a nice accent anyways.
