You should check out his time travel video...ME262 back to WW1. There is a lot of that in the first few mins and it is terrifying and hilarious at the same time.

I'd love to see a Vought F4U Corsair take on the F/A-18, either Legacy or Superhornet. The F4U was the longest serving piston engine aircraft of WW2 era and a few variants saw the fitment of early radar systems and 4x 20mm cannons. They could also launch rockets if equipped for ground attack missions.

Great video, Thunderbolt v Thunderbolt is a great idea! I sometimes think it would be interesting if there was a short debrief with the other pilot. Maybe not always, but perhaps when something unique happens (like seeing an F-22 in the rear view mirror). It would be interesting to hear what the other guy was thinking.
These dogfights really manage to capture the difference in- for a lack of a better word "mind set" between the aircraft generations. There's something so elegant and chivalrous in the way the P47 engages its opponent, whilst the A-10 truly is a display of power and ruthlessness. I love it
I love the scream of the pilot at the end lol, and the camera angles from the other aircraft. Don't slow motion the A-10 though, we want to hear the brrrrt!

The P-47 was nicknamed the JUG......absolute unit of an aircraft, for the prop era! it was hulking....could take all kinds of damage and still make it back. Some of the stories are insane!

I recognize the markings on the A10. The markings are from Battle Creek, Michigan. Just 45 minutes from my house. I heard the base has drones now? I've seen the same engin cowling at the Airzoo. The same one in the video actually.
So, the silver lining to losing the empanage in fight #1 is: when you popped the canopy and hit the silk the old fashioned way... you didn't need to worry about smacking the vertical or horizontal stabs! Supposedly that was a real danger bailing out back in the pre ejection seat days - hitting the tail on the way out.

If you look closely, Round 2 kill should have taken out GS as well, as the A-10's tail clipped through almost half of GS's wing! Fantastic regardless though, love seeing these jet vs. war bird vids.

it's really not that unusual. pistons can regain energy much faster than jets and even the playing field provided they can stay out of the guns.
I think its only reliably possible at lower altitudes where props can have an advantage over jets in thrust.
