      Sehr gerne 😊 Where are you that it is getting warmer just now. We are getting fried alive here in Texas. 42°C / 110°F yesterday ... I can send you some warmth if you need it 😉

    This recipe looks like it will be great. I will follow your recommendation the first time, but I'm already imagining adding a bit of finely chopped pickled ginger slices and a little pickling liquid with the mayonnaise dressing. I like this type of ginger in salad dressings already. Thanks for sharing this. I can imagine it being very popular at home parties.

      @@MyGermanRecipes @MyGermanRecipes Oh my gosh, I just remembered to reply about this recipe. First off, I absolutely loved it. It will be a family favorite. I took it to my gathering and it didn't last long, the tray was empty in a flash!. I am still getting texts from people for the recipe. It was so delicious, different from the usual salads and so easy to make. Thank you again.❤

    I first saw a rice cooker about 50 years ago (😮) when visiting a friend. Their housemate was Chinese, and I saw how well it prepared rice. I wanted one. About 40 years ago my mother and her best friend gave us a rice cooker - very basic, but way beyond our budget! That rice cooker is still in use, though some of the newer rice cookers are far fancier. I agree with you, if you make rice every week it is a must have appliance.
    This recipe is not something I would have imagined, but as you made it it seemed better and better. Now I must try it!
    Thank you!

      Wow, I didn't know rice cookers existed for so long. We eat rice several times a week and at some point I decided that it makes sense to have one. Never looked back :-)

    Thanks so much for this delicious recipe. I was thinking this morning what to make for lunch. This is a great recipe, this is what i am making today. The only thing is that I don't eat meat, but that is okay, I will add some vegetarian meat. Thanks again, I love your videos. You remind me of a friend I met many, many years ago in Chicago. She was from Germany. So sweat person she was.

    Hi! This salad looks so colorful and delicious! Perfect for a gathering or picnic. I tend to use purple onions, would you recommend using only the white or yellow onion?

    • @MyGermanRecipes
      @MyGermanRecipes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I often prefer red onions in salads but in this case I think the yellow onions add more to the taste.

    Looks interesting. My family is allergic to bell peppers, though. Is there something you would recommend instead as a substitution? Zucchini? or another type of pepper like poblano? Or just don't make it at all?

    • @MyGermanRecipes
      @MyGermanRecipes  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I guess you need to try it with something else then. Poplano might work, Zucchini is a good idea but it doesn't give much taste, compared to bell pepper. Maybe try peas?

    Could you advise me on measurements for about 25people would I triple this recipie ? 🤔. Thk you

    • @MyGermanRecipes
      @MyGermanRecipes  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it depends. If it’s the only side dish, then yes. If it’s a potluck where everyone brings something, it would be plenty to just double it. Also, you know your guests best, consider how much each of them eats. Is the expectation that everyone will be stuffed at the end? Sometimes, my guests are so busy with conversation, that they don’t find time to eat 😆. Also, I often write down after a party, how much I made and if I had a lot of leftover. It is a great help for the next gathering.
