My Mom made this but she called it glorified rice. It’s delicious. Now I have the recipe! Thank you! I sometimes substitute rice for the potatoes when making potato salad.

Looking forward to trying this. I love listening to Mama Vera giving instruction. I love her conversation, like I'm in the kitchen too. I have the same pairing knife from the Amish store off I-81 in TN and love it.

Great choice for your video Miss Vera! My family has been making this for years and we also add a drained can of mandarin oranges. The marshmallows dissolve a bit and it just gets yummy-er. It's one of our favorites! Nice to see you not have to burn your mouth today!👍🏼💜

This lovely salad, sounds a lot like my 5 cup fruit salad, made with sour cream instead of the cream cheese and mayo AND whipped cream. Your recipe sounds like it could go into a graham cracker crust pie, too fattening and sweet.
    1 cup of each:
Mandarin oranges / Pineapple / Sweetened coconut / Mini Marshmallows / Sour cream is my favourite and soooo easy!

That looks yummy. I'm wondering what it would be like to add some cut up fresh peaches, or other summer fruit. Wonder if they would be too juicy.

Sorry, I can't watch more than a couple of mins. of the video. The constant smacking is more than I can take. Thank you for putting the recipe in the "show more" section, I have not had this dish in many(1970's) years.
