@Markus Khari i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.

@@GarHoover You can also put your music for free in exchange for the email address on bandcamp... That way you can build up a mailing list in case you have new releases, and the people on that list probably actually care for your music :)
@@boerd.m.9291 I should have done the email exchange for the free download, because a lot of people have downloaded the song and album, but I have no way of contacting them... Oh well, I'll do it for my next release!
Gar Hoover ya bro you’ve got the right idea. I’d never sell my music. Just feels wrong. Like selling extensions of yourself so someone else can pretend it’s an extension of themselves for external recognition that they aren’t capable of earning.
Can I just say how good it is to see a poster reply to so many comments - it’s really appreciated. Great work on this track and props for the help and support that you provide. Inspirational. Thank you.
Thank you! I think it's important to help others enjoy their Pocket Operators as much as I do! I know I haven't posted in while, but I'm hoping to jump back into things soon!
Love this tune. I still haven't got to grips with the PO-133 as that thing has a curve and I'm more visually oriented so I'm getting into Koala Sampler for now. Keep those tunes coming, Gar, I really enjoy your channel.
Glad you like the song! Yes the PO-33 can be a little bit cryptic and difficult to get a grasp of at first! Have you tried looking at any of my tutorials? Those could be helpful!
@@GarHoover I've watched the tips and tricks vid and it had some really great insights. My biggest problem is figuring out how to record patterns easily and quickly, especially the drum tracks where you've got a bunch of samples in one bank. I'll have a look at your tutorial vids for sure. Time is my nemesis at the moment but I'm determined to master it. Thanks for the reply. 👍🏻
I hear it's pretty noisy but I like to run with the imperfections and limitations of this sorta gear. I've been using a Boss DD3 pedal amongst others but it seems the Monotron offers something they don't. Anyway, keep kicking out those jams my friend, you've got a nice sound.
Hey my brotha can you do a Tutorial on how you arranged this groove. I'm new to the po 33 and this jam is my favorite so far. Love your videos keep them coming and thank you !!!!
I unfortunately no longer have a way to access this song because I did not make a backup file for it and deleted it off my PO-33! BUT others have requested a Tutorial on how to make a Minimal House/Lofi House track so I will make a video soon documenting the entire process of making a track!
Respect for deleting such a great quality track. I’ve not used my 33 for weeks at a time not wanting to lose something I’ve worked hard on and eventually you hate your work. Now I just delete and move on and it’s so much more productive. Excellent track my friend. Keep em coming.
@@GarHoover how did you get it to sound like theres 3 tracks, bass, melody and drums? is it the monotron or something else? i have both in the mail but im messing with the speak right now and loving it.
The PO 33 is able to play four tracks at once! I normally have a drum track, a chords track, a melody track, and a bass track! This makes it possible to have full sounding tracks on the PO-33 pretty quickly! The monotron is only adding filter and delay to the PO-33.
Hi Gar, are there any devices that combine a synth, sampler, and delay? Similar to PO-33 + NTS-1 + Synth ?? For standalone production... it's fine if it has DAW option, but mainly looking for standalone instruments. Thanks!
Thanks! If wanna hear more house music, I have a playlist on my channel! I also have have a playlist dedicated to pocket operators if you want to check that out!
hi, from the video it seems that you send delay only on one channel/sound on ko33 that is synth sound, without hearable delay on beat, percussion etc. how do you split it?
My chord samples have a prerecorded delay on them and then I used the Monotron for its filter and to provide a faster 1/8 note delay over the complete output of the PO-33! If you listen to it again, you'll hear the two different delay speeds
Hello Gar, I've been enjoying your videos a lot! I'm looking to buy a PO33 myself but still haven't got the right push to do it, I have no idea how to plug it into a computer and what cables do I need, or if it's possible to export the track and rearrange it somehow into Ableton? Need some help, looking forward to your answer and for more vids! Peace out :)
Hey! I'm sorry for the delayed response! If you want to put samples onto the PO-33 all you need is an aux cable (3.5 mil. cable)! I just plug my PO-33 into my headphone jack on my laptop and play the samples I created in Logic and recorded them onto the PO-33. When recording the completed song you will need an audio interface to record it into Ableton but you can not isolated the individual samples that make up the song. A work around to this on the PO-33 might be bring the volume down on all of the tracks except for one, and recording that into Ableton and following that process for the other 3 tracks! Normally I just create the full song on the PO-33 and record it either onto my phone using the Roland GoMixer or directly to Logic.
Great Question! I keep the volume on the monotone delay lower than full volume to reduce the hiss and I make sure that my PO-33 is not at volume either to prevent distortion! There will always be a little Hiss but you can take it out with an EQ or an expander!
I cut out some of the high frequencies with a EQ in Logic X but the key is to have the Monotron not at full volume and have the PO-33 at about half volume, this keeps the signal from the PO-33 from becoming too distorted and prevents a good amount of hiss!
Congrats on getting a pocket operator! I use the Roland Go Mixer to record my video and audio directly to my phone! I know other people have used TRRS cables to record, but sometimes that can be a little faulty! I would suggest joining the Pocket Operator Reddit and the Facebook group and asking there as well!
I am sending the PO-33 into the Monotron where I am adding a filter and delay to the song! The Monotron Delay is a great way of getting more out of a single pattern!
