I had same problem and I did replace it myself by another motherboard bought from some website; so now I have all the MMI back (GPS, music, CD, etc) except that I have the sound music only on left side of the car. Is there anyway to fix that ?

Can some circuit boards be repaired by a gentle clean to remove some of the build up.??

Can you not just change the stereo instead or will it not work

Yeah the dealer has to link the amp to your vin. Its crazy

This is the same board after our repair. You can compare how do we repair Bose (and not only) amplifiers.
